Nowadays everyone has a wallet, but in the past it was different.
A money bag was seen as poor, not something for ladies and gentlemen.
Ladies and gentlemen did not do their business via the money bag.
The oldest known wallet was found with Otzi the Iceman who lived around 3000 years before Christ.
A small leather hip bag was found with him.

I have this old coin purse in which I store a few Canadian coins left over from the last of many fishing trips to a lake near Sudbury. Some of my fondest memories of my father are from those trips. Thank you Canada. The image is about 70mm across. HMM and thanks for any views, faves and comments.

Macro Monday, May 2nd, 2022: Leather
What remains of my old leather (genuine) wallet lays splayed over its thinner, more modern faux leather replacement with a National Parks pass playing the part of the background. Something tells me the new version, while more comfortable, will never gain the patina of the original.

The tag on this wallet says it's made in Portugal from 100% natural cork. Frame is 2" across.
This will probably give me back pain, and it has ruined a few pairs of pants due to back pocket corrosion, but the sad thing is that I keep my money in my front pocket, and most of the stuff in the wallet is business cards, expired credit cards (neteller etc.), and receipts that have all the print worn off. . . I think I'll get a new wallet this week. . .
With this one, you can visit the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Tivoli (golden color) and the National Museum of Art (pink) and, of course, a normal Visa (blue with the silver bird)... all museums are around Copenhagen, Denmark

Theme: Wallet
Today's theme is wallet. I used the section with a cute coin purse as my subject and photographed it with my Lensbaby lens featuring a macro attachment.
I spoke with a friend today about the importance of teaching our kids how to save and use money wisely. She reminded me that money itself is not the root of evil; rather, it is the love of money that causes problems. What are your thoughts on this?
