Die Dürkheimer Krachmandel gehört zu den Sorten, die große, weichschalige Früchte trägt. Dadurch kann man sie ohne Probleme mit der Hand öffnen. Sie reifen von Ende September bis Mitte Oktober. Die Kerne haben eine graubraune Haut und schmecken würzig und süß.

Ich hatte riesige Probleme mit dem Wechsel meines Internetanbieters und dann schlug mich eine Krankheit nieder (für länger, als ich es erwartet habe). Auch möchte ich mich bei euch für euren Besuch, Kommentare und Faves bedanken und hoffe, bei euch das Versäumte nachzuholen.

Doch dafür muss man die wohlige Blase der Luxushotels und der Touristenattraktionen verlassen. Man muss hinaus gehen und mit den Menschen sprechen. Und man muss sich anschauen, wie sie leben. Zum Beispiel so wie hier, in einem Dorf in den Bergen des Atlas in Marokko.
Ich maße mir nicht einmal ansatzweise an zu wissen, wie das Leben in einer solchen Gegend sein könnte. Doch der Gedanke, dass hier Familien tagtäglich um ihr Überleben kämpfen, dass hier in den Gassen zwischen den Häusern Kinder spielen, deren Perspektive man im Idealfall als gering einstufen muss, verschafft mir ein äußerst beklemmendes Gefühl.
Wie viel Energie und Geld verschwenden wir, in unserem von Wohlstand verwahrlosten "Westen" nur um uns moralisch überlegen zu fühlen.
So lange es noch solche Orte auf dem Planeten gibt, und es gibt von Ihnen so unfassbar viele, betrachte ich jede Diskussion über Elektroautos, Wärmepunpen und gar Sprachvorschriften als zutiefst beleidigend und arrogant den Menschen gegenüber, die wirkliche Probleme haben.

Der Grund warum ich in den letzen Jahren kaum Bilder hochlud ist, das ich mein Leben komplett umgekrempelt habe. Ich brachte noch vor gut 3 1/2 Jahren 105 kg auf die Waage. Bekam dann aber gesundheitliche Probleme, aufgrund meines Übergewichtes und habe dann mein Leben von einem Tag auf den anderen komplett umgekrempelt. Angefangen Kraft- und Ausdauertraining zu machen und meine Essgewohnheiten umgestellt. Mittlerweile sinds 40kg weniger und ich bereue nichts. Allerdings blieb dabei die Fotografie ziemlich auf der Strecke. Hab mir vorgenommen das im kommenden Jahr wieder etwas mehr zu betreiben.

But then I got health problems because of my overweight and then from one day to the next I completely turned my life upside down. I started doing strength and endurance training and changed my eating habits. Now it's 40kg less and I have no regrets. However, photography fell by the wayside. I decided to do it a little more in the coming year.

NL: Rode Koolzwam - De amethistzwam (Laccaria amethystina), ook wel rodekoolzwam genoemd, is een zwam uit het geslacht van de fopzwammen, een plaatjeszwam zonder manchet. De paddenstoel is vanwege de kleur genoemd naar de kwartsvariëteit amethist. De amethistzwam is eetbaar.

D: Violetter Lacktrichterling oder Violetter Bläuling - Der Violette Lacktrichterling ist wie alle Lacktrichterlinge essbar und mit seinem milden Geschmack als Speisepilz gut geeignet. Exemplare mit rein violetter Färbung sind für den Verzehr besser geeignet. Allerdings weist Marcel Bon in Pareys Buch der Pilze darauf hin, dass unter anderen der Violette Lacktrichterling noch immer sehr hohe Cäsium-137-Werte nach der Reaktorkatastrophe in Tschernobyl 1986 aufweist.
F: Laccaire améthyste - C'est un comestible honorable, aussi bon - certains disent meilleur - que le type. Il vient en abondance et ne pose (contrairement à laccata) aucun vrai problème d'identification. Le stipe fibreux n'est pas consommé.

Et le problème est particulièrement sérieux, car en plus du déficit d'attention généré par les écrans, maintenant assez connu, cette surexposition serait « un facteur de développement d’une forme d’autisme ».
Par ailleurs, cette maladie, qui entraîne des retards de la motricité et du langage, touche les foyers les plus modestes, où les enfants sont en moyenne plus présents devant les écrans.
« Ils n’ont pas conscience de l'effet délétère qu'ont les écrans sur leur bébé. Ils pensent même que cela va accélérer leur maîtrise du langage ! De fait, ils parlent parfois trois langues, mais sont incapables de s'intéresser à autre chose que ce sur quoi ils ont pris l'habitude de se focaliser » pointe du doigt Stéphanie Dauver.
Une situation d'autant plus compliquée qu'elle est difficilement réversible avec le temps. « Dans le développement, vous avez des fenêtres temporelles pour passer des étapes. Si elle est ratée, c’est trop tard pour la rouvrir », rappelle la pédopsychiatre. Ainsi, si vers les 13-14 mois, il est encore possible de reprendre le développement de l'enfant en le privant totalement d'écran, « après l’âge de 2 ans et demi, c’est catastrophique. »

Ich glaube, ich habe noch nie in einem Urlaub so gefroren, wie in diesem. Wir hatten drei Schlafsäcke und Decken, Anoraks, Jogginghosen, Hoodies und Mützen - nachts zum Schlafen und trotzdem: es war eisekalt. Tagsüber, wenn die Sonne durchbrach, war es angenehm warm, aber sobald sie unterging musste man geschwind ein Feuer machen, was auf den Campgrounds und den gut umhegten Feuerstellen auch ohne Probleme möglich ist.
An diesem Morgen hatte es sogar geregnet, die Wolken hingen tief ... die Sonne aber wollte sich nicht zeigen. Trotzdem habe ich an diesem wunderschönen und ausgewiesenen Fotospot ein Foto gemacht.

The Iberian Lynx (Lynx pardinus) is a wild cat species endemic to the Iberian Peninsula in southwestern Europe. It is listed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List. In the 20th century, the Iberian Lynx population had declined because of overhunting, poaching, fragmentation of suitable habitats, and the population decline of its main prey species, the European Rabbit, caused by myxomatosis and rabbit haemorrhagic disease.
By the turn of the 21st century, the Iberian Lynx was on the verge of extinction, as only 94 individuals survived in two isolated subpopulations in Andalusia in 2002 (Sierra de Andujar and La Doñana). Conservation measures have been implemented since then, which included improving habitat, restocking of rabbits, translocating, reintroducing and monitoring Iberian Lynxes. By 2012, the population had increased to 326 individuals, to 855 in 2020, and to 1,111 in 2021.
A corridor has just been developed so that the two population islands (Andujar and La Doñana) can communicate, in order to obtain better genetic mixing. The two populations of Lynx have different spots on their bodies; but in a recent period, hybridizations have begun to be observed, which proves the effectiveness of the corridor.
There is certainly an increase in the global population of Lynx but the fight is not yet won because of the state of mind of some owners of private hunting reserves. Some agree to collaborate, others oppose. The same problem exists in France for Wolves or Bears.

Certains acceptent de collaborer, d'autres s'y opposent. Le même problème existe en France pour les Loups ou les Ours.
Varanasi (Inde) - Ce vieil homme vient régulièrement se faire soigner auprès de l’équipe médicale d’Action Bénarès qui intervient plusieurs fois par semaine dans le bidonville de La Kharbuza. Il a un vilaine blessure au genou. Pendant le mois durant lequel j’ai suivi les soignants dans leur mission sanitaire, je le voyais régulièrement. Je ne l’ai jamais vu parler à personne. Il se laissait photographier sans problème et sans rien dire. Je m’étais pris d’affection pour cet homme apparemment solitaire. Intrigué par son mutisme, à la fin du reportage, j’ai appris que l’homme était muet.

Ile de May, Ecosse.
Ce Macareux peut être fier de sa pêche mais ... ce poisson est bien trop gros pour son poussin (Puffling) qui risque de s'étouffer avec. Si les Macareux ne trouvaient plus que des poissons de cette taille, ils devraient chercher un autre site de nidification. Cela ne semble pas être un problème sur l'Ile de May, pour le moment, la grande majorité des parents rapportant des lançons.

Bangkok (Thaïlande) - Chez les bouddhistes, notamment dans les pays du sud-est asiatiques, les moines sortent de leurs temples très tôt le matin pour déambuler dans les rues et recevoir de la nourriture en guise d'offrande.
La tradition veut que les disciples donnent au moins un bol de riz à chaque moine qui en fait la demande. Cependant, depuis quelques années, les supermarchés thaïlandais distribuent dans leurs rayons des "packs d'offrande" destinés aux bonzes. Le problème, c'est que ces « kits d’offrande" sont constituées de sucreries, de sodas, de chips et biscuits industriels. Un changement dans la tradition. Selon une traduction du Courrier International issue d'un article du Bangkok Post, cette "mal bouffe" entraînerait de nombreux cas d'obésité chez les moines.
Sur cette photo prise sur un grand marché réputé de Bangkok, on voit bien que le commerçant présente aux religieux une offrande qui n'a rien à voir avec une assiette de riz.
Bon, on ne le voit pas sur la photo, mais les deux jeunes femmes, elles, proposent du riz. Cette prise de vue date de 2013. Il semble que depuis, les choses se soient singulièrement dégradées.

... while visiting Amsterdam in 2017 I did not cycle but I saw lots of people cycling everyday... it is just normal in that city but what about cycling and looking at your cellphone ? s it a good idea to do it? Est-ce une bonne idée de faire ça ? Je pense qu'il a un vélo électrique ! On m'a dit de faire très attention aux cyclistes en traversant les rues d'Amsterdam. Heureusement, je n'ai eu aucun problème.

Les trois jeunes moines
Nong-Khaï (Thaïlande) - Si le jeune moine n’avait pas senti ma présence et ne m’avait gratifié d’un large sourire, je n’aurais pas pris la photo. Je trouvais intéressante l’association du bleu et de l’orange. Problème les trois jeunes novices me tournaient le dos. Je ne photographie jamais les gens de dos. J’ai cependant porté l’oeil à mon viseur, sans conviction, juste par curiosité.
Le moinillon de droite c’est alors retourné et pensant que je le photographiais, il m’a fait un grand sourire. Avait-il le troisième oeil ? Une ne pouvais laisser passer un tel visage radieux. J’ai déclenché.
Fakarava, également appelé Havaiki-te-araro, est un atoll situé dans l’archipel des Tuamotu en Polynésie à 450 km au nord-est de Tahiti. Son lagon est le deuxième plus grand de toute la Polynésie française et s'étend 1 121 km2, 60 km de longueur et 21 km de largeur maximales pour seulement 16 km2 de terres émergées.
Depuis 2016, Fakarava fait partie des sept atolls (avec Aratika, Kauehi, Niau, Raraka, Taiaro et Toau) classés Réserve de biosphère par l’UNESCO et est aujourd’hui mondialement reconnu pour la plongée sous-marine.
Cette réputation mondiale commence aussi a être un problème et n'est pas sans danger pour la préservation de ses fonds. En effet, les bateaux de plongeurs ne sont pas tous très conscients de la fragilité de ce milieu naturel et paradoxalement détruisent les magnifiques coraux qui sont le refuge d'une extraordinaire faune sous marine !
Fakarava, also known as Havaiki-te-araro, is an atoll located in the Tuamotu Archipelago in Polynesia, 450 km northeast of Tahiti. Its lagoon is the second largest of all French Polynesia and covers 1,121 km2, 60 km in length and 21 km of maximum width for only 16 km2 of land.
Since 2016, Fakarava has been one of seven atolls (along with Aratika, Kauehi, Niau, Raraka, Taiaro and Toau) classified as a biosphere reserve by UNESCO and is now world-renowned for scuba diving.
This global reputation is also beginning to be a problem and is not without danger for the preservation of its funds. Indeed, not all dive boats are very aware of the fragility of this natural environment and paradoxically destroy the magnificent corals that are the refuge of an extraordinary underwater fauna !
Ladakh (Inde) - D'année en année, les passages les plus étroits ont été élargis afin de permettre aux camions de se croiser sans trop de problème. L'état de la route s'améliore, mais la prudence est toujours de mise.
Ladakh (India) - Year after year, the narrowest passages have been widened to allow trucks to pass each other without too much problem. The condition of the road is improving, but caution is still required.
Another one from the great photowalk with Flickr friends in Berlin in Juli. Taken at Potsdamer Platz. When I looked up I saw the airplane and its vapour trail, and the jet trail was getting in line with the spire of the building. I was a bit too late, because, stupidly, at first I had just watched the scene for a while, then I thought "This could actually make a nice photo if I manage to get vapour trail and building top in one line" and by the time I had my camera ready (hours later, so to say), the opportunity was almost gone. Or, rather, had flown way. Almost ;-) I was tempted to photoshop the image and align the vapour trail exactly with the top of the building, but then decided against it. The scene is as shot. I flipped the image, which I had originally taken in portrait mode, horizontally, though, because I think it looks nicer that way. Processed in Aurora HDR and in Luminar.

Auf die Spitze getrieben. Fast.
Noch eins vom schönen Fotowalk mit Flickr-Freunden in Berlin im Juli, aufgenommen am Potsdamer Platz. Ich habe mehr durch Zufall hoch geschaut und gesehen, dass der Kondensstreifen des Flugzeugs, das gerade über den Platz flog, je nach meiner Position, eine Linie mit der Spitze des 70 Meter hohen Forum Towers (entworfen vom italienischen Star-Architekten Renzo Piano) bildete. Anstatt gleich zur Kamera zu greifen, habe ich erst eine Weile zugeschaut, mir dabei gedacht, dass das eigentlich ein gutes Motiv abgeben könnte, und als ich dann, gefühlte Stunden später, endlich die Kamera parat hatte, war die Gelegenheit schon fast vorüber(-geflogen). Zum Glück nur fast. Ich habe beim Bearbeiten kurz mit dem Gedanken gespielt, den Kondensstreifen in Photoshop leicht zu versetzen, um ihn exakt mit der Turmspitze auf eine Linie zu bringen, mich dann aber dagegen entschieden. Die Szene ist so, wie ich sie fotografiert habe. Ich habe lediglich das ursprünglich hochkant aufgenommene Foto nach links gedreht, weil ich es so schöner finde. Enwickelt in Aurora HDR und Luminar.

Noch eins: Ich habe momentan Probleme mit meiner Internetverbindung, besonders am Abend. Das heißt also, dass ich noch mehr als sonst hinterherhinke beim Kommentieren und besternen Eurer neuen Fotos. Das ist keinesfalls Desinteresse. Ich hoffe, dass bald alles wieder vernünftig läuft.

The white tanks on the roofs are the reserves for running water. Each family receives 2 cubic metres of water per week, so water management is a crucial problem in Jordan.
Prachuap-Khiri-Khan (Thaïlande) - Ce marin-pêcheur écope la cale qui prend l’eau. Rien de bien dramatique, mais le commandant du chalutier m’a expliqué qu’il allait devoir envisager de mettre son chalutier en cale sèche pour remettre de la graisse animale entre les planches qui forment la coque pour l’étanchéifier. Les marins procèdent régulièrement à du bricolage pour entraver les voies d’eau, mais cette fois, elles sont sous la ligne de flottaison. Le problème c’est qu’une mise en cale sèche pour ce type de réparation nécessite une bonne semaine d’immobilisation du navire. Le temps que la graisse animale durcisse sous les effets du soleil. Et une semaine à terre, c’est une semaine de chiffre d’affaires en moins. J’espère pour l’équipage que l’appât du gain de l’armateur n’aura pas été plus fort que le principe de précaution.
Scooping of the hold
Prachuap-Khiri-Khan (Thailand) - This fisherman bails out the hold that is taking on water. Nothing too dramatic, but the captain of the trawler explained to me that he was going to have to consider putting his trawler in dry dock to put animal fat between the boards that form the hull to make it watertight. Sailors regularly tinker to limit water leaks, but this time they are below the waterline. The problem is that putting the ship in dry dock for this type of repair requires a good week of immobilization. The time that animal fat hardens under the effects of the sun. And one week on land means one week less turnover. I hope for the crew that the greed of the owner will not have been stronger than the precautionary principle.
Leider immer noch rechte Sorgenkinder sind die Garnituren von Škoda für den München-Nürnberg-Express. Insbesondere die Wagen machen Probleme und das führt häufig zum Ausfall ganzer Züge. Am 01. Oktober 2021 begegnete mir 102 002 mit dem RE 4019 auf der Fahrt nach München HBF bei Vierkirchen.
Unfortunately, the Škoda sets for the Munich-Nuremberg Express are still a real problem child. Especially the coaches cause trouble and this often leads to the cancellation of entire trains. On 01 October 2021, I spotted 102 002 with RE 4019 on its way to Munich main station near Vierkirchen.
Die versandeten Eichen
Der dänische Name Løvklitter (direkt übersetzt: Laubdünen) sind eine treffende Bezeichnung für ein ganz besonderes Naturphänomen, das ein Ergebnis des Sandtreibens früherer Zeiten in der Gegend um den See Filsø ist. Der Sand war mehrere hundert Jahre Ursache großer Probleme für die Lokalbevölkerung, die vom spärlichen Ackerboden abhängig war. Der Sand bedeckte sogar ganze Wälder. Das niedrige Gebüsch, das die Dünenlandschaft bedeckt, besteht in Wirklichkeit aus den Baumkronen von großen versandeten Eichen. Man geht also durch Baumkronen von Bäumen, die sieben oder acht Meter hoch sind, und die, trotz des vielen Sandes, imstande sind, zu überleben und durch die Blätter der Krone genügend Sonnenlicht zu bekommen. Während des Blattaustriebs im Frühling kann man beobachten, dass die Blätter an verschiedenen Tagen austreiben und so entdecken, welche der kleinen „Büsche“ zum selben Baum gehören. Die Bäume sind etwas über 200 Jahre alt.
In Kærgård Plantation you can find the protected area of “Leaf-dunes”. These are the remains of the original area of Jutland oak -scrub woodland that grew here. It consists of oak trees more than one hundred years old that have been largely covered by drifting sand. This scrub, which today appears to consists of individual, small stunted oak trees, are in fact the tops of a smaller number of oak trees growing out of the sand. This can be clearly seen in the spring, when the leaves emerge from the various trees at slightly different times.
Die Hite Crossing Bridge überbrückt den Colorado River in Utah im Südwesten der USA. Die Brücke befindet sich in der Nähe von Hite, einer kleinen Stadt in der Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Die Hite Crossing Bridge wurde 1966 errichtet und war zu dieser Zeit die längste Bogenbrücke in Utah. Sie ist 61 Meter hoch und 440 Meter lang. Sie ist Teil der landschaftlich reizvollen Strecke von Hanksville nach Hite und bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick auf den Colorado River und die umliegende Landschaft.
Allerdings ist die Hite Crossing Bridge auch bekannt für ihre Probleme mit der Stabilität. In den 1990er Jahren wurden umfangreiche Reparaturen durchgeführt, um die Brücke sicherer zu machen. Trotzdem wurde die Brücke im Jahr 2018 für den Schwerlastverkehr gesperrt und ist seitdem nur noch für den PKW-Verkehr zugänglich. Trotz ihrer Probleme mit der Stabilität ist die Hite Crossing Bridge ein wichtiger Bestandteil der Infrastruktur in der Region und wird weiterhin von Einheimischen und Touristen genutzt, um den Colorado River zu überqueren.

The Hite Crossing Bridge spans the Colorado River in Utah in the southwestern United States. The bridge is located near Hite, a small town in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. The Hite Crossing Bridge was built in 1966 and was the longest arch bridge in Utah at that time. It is 61 meters high and 440 meters long. It is part of the scenic route from Hanksville to Hite and offers a breathtaking view of the Colorado River and the surrounding landscape.
However, the Hite Crossing Bridge is also known for its stability problems. Extensive repairs were carried out in the 1990s to make the bridge safer. Nevertheless, the bridge was closed to heavy traffic in 2018 and has since only been accessible to cars. Despite its stability issues, the Hite Crossing Bridge remains an important part of the infrastructure in the region and continues to be used by locals and tourists to cross the Colorado River.
Bei Fahlenbach verlangsamte der München-Nürnberg-Express RE 4023 bereits seine Fahrt, um am nahegelegenen Bahnhof Rohrbach den planmäßigen Halt einzulegen. Die Škoda-Garnitur mit der 102 006 als Zuglok wirkt noch etwas ungewöhnlich auf deutschen Schienen und wird vermutlich aufgrund diverser Probleme beim Einsatz auch einen Exoten-Status behalten (01. Oktober 2021).
At Fahlenbach, the Munich-Nuremberg-Express RE 4023 already slowed down to make its scheduled stop at the nearby Rohrbach station. The Škoda set with 102 006 as the locomotive still looks somewhat unusual on German rails and will probably also retain an exotic status due to various problems in service (01 October 2021).
Als wahre Problemfälle sind die Garnituren von Škoda für den München-Nürnberg-Express verschrien. Insbesondere die Wagen machen Probleme und das führt häufig zum Ausfall ganzer Züge. Zur Ehrenrettung muss ich allerdings erwähnen, dass die Züge jedesmal wenn ich an der Strecke stehe, zuverlässig fahren. Was natürlich nichts mit mir zu tun hat, sondern eine Frage von subjektiver und objektiver Wahrnehmung ist. Am 11. Mai 2022 begegnete mir jedenfalls 102 002 mit dem RE 4029 auf der Fahrt nach München HBF bei Vierkirchen.
