The deciduous Salix sitting on its usual place on the bank off the lake on a bright and sunny winters day.
Had some time to grab the Canon and head down to Leura Cascades and shoot some running water. This shot looked interesting at the base of Bridal Veil falls.
On your way down to Bridal Veil Falls, stop at The Rock, a small partially fenced lookout, only about 10 metres off the pathway.
While you can’t see the falls from here, you’ll get a lovely view across the valley extending over to the cliffs where the falls are.
After leaving Leura Cascades you’ll come across the turnoff to walk down to the Bridal Veil Falls lookout.
This short walk will bring to within 150 metres of Bridal Veil Falls lookout.
From here you can look across to the falls and take a seat at the lookout and soak up the view across the Blue Mountains.
It’s an amazing view from up here, and the perfect place to sit and contemplate or just have some time to yourself.
With the amount of rain plummeting down it's a waterfall chasers dream.
If you ever get a chance to come up the top, Leura Cascades is one to visit.
Be warned though, the road into the falls is closed so you will need to park your car and walk in!
“Sunset is an angel weeping
Holding out a bloody sword
No matter how I squint I cannot
Make out what it's pointing
toward
Sometimes you feel like you
live too long
Days drip slowly on the page
You catch yourself

Trees through raindrops on the windshield of the car. Our visit to Mt. Rainier NP proved to be one of the rainiest trips. But lots of beauty to enjoy in any kind of weather.
I am traveling until 12/20 and will probably be busy when I come back. So no updates, most likely until Christmas.
Winter's evening light, silhouettes (3) Weeping Willow trees in this wintry country scene.
Thank-you for all the overwhelming support and many friendships.

I decided that I would start looking for color instead of whining about the lack of it. This morning I strolled around on the farm and really "looked" for beauty. In an overgrown pasture, the grasses were laden with a coating of frost and ice. In the distance, weeds were glistening with dew drops becoming sparkling gems of every color. It was breathtaking. (You can see the bokeh of those dew drops in this shot.) It was at that moment that I realized that beauty was there all along. It was in form, shapes, ice, frost, dew, it was everywhere! I stood quietly, in awe. Be prepared to see more glorious winter color on my page in the days to come! After all, winter is good!
I would like to dedicate this photo to my dear friend Vici who has always encouraged me when it comes to photography. You couldn't ask for a more supportive friend. Vici has amazing photographs..... so here's the link to visit her page: www.flickr.com/photos/25973579@N07/
Thank you, Vici, for being such a wonderful friend and for challenging me to create my best! ♥
The two trees in the foreground are weeping willows; several weeping willows surround the Museum of Jewish Heritage, a living memorial to those who perished during the holocaust. New York City, Battery Park
This magnificent specimen of the Weeping Willow was resplendent in emerging new green leaves. It is in full display in Altamount Gardens.
Altamont Gardens are an enchanting blend of formal and informal gardens with riverside walks covering over 40
acres (16 hectares). Lawns bisected by sculpted yews, slope down to a lake surrounded by rare trees and rhododendrons and lead in turn to a very different garden featuring exotic shrubs and trees. It is in County Carlow, Ireland.

I used to have this tree at the house I moved away in 2017, which was huge. Love this. Please click on the link below to view. :-))
