This time I added some distortion in Photoshop on the "reflection" section

Lake Cerknica is an intermittent lake. In late summer period, the lake is completely drained into the reservoirs lying below its level.

Let's go back to India...:)

Nature has endowed the relief of this vast rock formation with incredible colors. In Spanish, the Valle del Arcoiris means "Valley of the Rainbow", a name worthy of this grandiose landscape of red, white, yellow and brown cliffs standing out against the blue sky. This emblematic site of San Pedro de Atacama attracts visitors from all over the world to admire its splendid colors.

I don't know if it's because of the altitude or because of all this whiteness, but the Salar de Uyuni encourages photographers to do very strange things sometimes!

The road from San Pedro de Atacama to Socaire

A Group Photo of some of the Columbus Flickr Meet Group at the Ohio Theater. This room is stunningly beautiful, really it's just jaw dropping.

This was a great event, and we had a lot of people show up... look forward to seeing everyone next time. This photo is Definately Best Viewed Large. By my count there are almost 40 people...

Put a Note with your name on your head (or if you know the person)...

...that's a lotta camera gear there folks, brings a tear to my eye..ha!

Tech Stuff: This was actually kinda tricky to pull off.. not a ton of light and we had to light up a decent amount of space. Shot was exposed at 15mm @ f/4, 1/50th w/ISO1600 (ISO800 didn't let enough of the background light in)... I was rushing so I would have done a few things different here, but oh well... here it is anyway, proof we were all here.

The gear was a Canon 20D with a Canon 10-22mm lens on a Manfrotto Tripod. There were five Canon Speedlites used to take this photograph (two 580EX's, one 550EX and two 430EX), two flashes were placed on the bottom right and left on the sides, and then another set of flashes about eight rows up. The flashes on the left were held by our wonderful guide... all triggered by a Canon speedlite on the hot shoe.

Set Desc: Photographs of The Ohio Theater in Columbus Ohio, which was the subject of the a recent Columbus Flickr Meet, with over 40 Flickr folks from the Central Ohio area converging to hang out, and photograph this beautiful theater.

NOTE: This photo made it into Flickr's 'Explore" as one of the top five hundred most interesting photos on a particular day, which makes me somewhat sad as the actual resulting photos didn't make it, ha! You can see all of my photo's that have made it into the Flickr Explore pages here.

Shot with the SJCAM SJ8 Pro actioncam. The EXIF data ist not present in the RAW image. The used Sony IMX377 sensor (the same as in my Nexus 5X) delivers quiet impressive results for a sensor of only 1/2.3" size.

An actioncam has not the best and biggest sensor or high quality optics but the ultrawideangle look that you can get is unbeaten for the weight, price and robustness. As many of them now also support RAW it has become my ultrawideangle lens replacement. In the narrow streets of cities a piece of gold in my pocket.

The sillar route is composed of canteras, or quarries, located in between the three districts of Cerro Colorado, Uchumayo and Yura. The most important quebrada, or ravine, is called Añashuayco.

Metelkova is one of the weirdest places to see in Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital. Formerly, the site was the Slovenian headquarter of the Yugoslav National Army. The buildings have been squatted since September 1993 in a declared illegal way, mainly by artists, activists and young students. In 2005, Metelkova was declared a national cultural heritage site and the European Cultural Fund attributes financial support. If you like graffiti, weird art, and quirky sculptures then this is the place to be.

A quick snap of downtown Columbus... there was a quick impromptu Flickr meet up, I took only five photos, this was the only one I was somewhat okay with... If I wouldn't have rushed it I would have walked down further and gotten a better angle, oh well... next time. I think this photo is best viewed large.

I haven't shot that much for just recreationally as I've been busy with other stuff in life and shooting for a couple of weddings, and other client projects. I need to get out more and just shoot for the fun of it.
