On 12 January 1995, Australian National broad gauge locomotives, 843/CK2/844, head across the River Light near Hamley Bridge, South Australia, with grain loading from Balaklava bound ultimately for Victoria. Post privatisation 843 remained on broad gauge with GWA until placed in storage in 2014, CK2 was rebuilt and is now on standard gauge owned by SCT (as T404), while 844 ended up working on the narrow gauge iron ore lines at Whyalla with GWA, .

On July 16th 1988, recently ex-works GRCW Class 128 Parcels Car 55991 was unusually seen at Nibley, attached to the rear of a 4-car Tyseley hybrid DMU set.
The 4-car set was T404, comprising Class 115 car 51853 (leading), Class 127 car 59604, and Class 116 cars 59445 and 53919.
I only ever saw another of these Parcels cars once in Bristol.
Tucked away deep in the middle of the Port Augusta workshops is a mix of different operator's locos, all stored most likely to never run again, including Pacific National's S307,8007 which arrived at Port Augusta for storage in May 2018 but previously stored at the AFT as well as all 3 cabless XRB class, built in 2005/2006 they have been stored at Port Augusta for a number of years after a short life.
One Rail Australia's GM44 can be seen just hiding behind a tree having been withdrawn at the end of 2007.
SCT's T404 is also stored, probably the most recent of the stored locos

A southbound four-car DMU, formed of vehicles of Classes 116, 127 & 115 passes Copmanthorpe running ECS. The unit had apparently formed a "Foot-ex" from Exeter to York - a hell of a long way to travel in such spartan conditions! Michael doesn't record where it was heading when he captured it here - possibly Neville Hill for refuelling. 8/4/89.
