This cat has lived on our street for years. His owner moved house and abandoned him. My near neighbour Geoff looks after him and feeds him and during Winter takes him in. The rest of the time he can be found out on our quiet street, often asleep, sometimes lying on the edge of the road. Everyone knows him and looks out for him.

Only Geoff and our Postman seem to be able to really interact with him but when I sat on the curb to shoot his photograph yesterday he came over to me a couple of times. It was a bit of a breakthrough.

When our session was over I took him a few cat treats as a thank you 😺

Ho vissuto con diversi maestri Zen – erano tutti dei gatti.

Positano's street cats queued up for the fishmonger.

Positano is home to many street cats, taken care of a wonderful resident who was born in England but lived in Positano for most of her life.

A street cat in Albufeira, Portugal. This was on a path with stairs leading down to the main beach. The weather on that first day of our trip was not great so the sad looking stray cat in front of the cracked white wall is a sad image maybe artificially enhanced by the black and white. It was a shabby looking spot where the cat was having a nap, I just felt sorry for her.

In Parque Kennedy (Kennedy Park) in Mirafores, Lima, Peru. Taken with the Sigma Art lens 135mm through some flowers giving this colourful effect.

Here is a blog I have written about the park full of cats in Lima, Peru.
