a shot I could have taken today since it's been raining, but this one is from earlier in the year ...

... unfortunately I had to stop processing any new photos on Lightroom because of a problem. I've been using LR 3.6 and it's been causing some of my files to get corrupted, at random. thankfully i have a back up of most of my images, but there was a small batch of photos from France that I started processing before backing them up, and I may have lost a few shots, one that I particularly liked. not sure if I can recover it. Has anyone had similar issues with LR? this only happened recently, and also seems to happen only for files that are saved on an external firewire hard drive, and not on the hard disk of the computer. I've run out of space on my computer, so I've been downloading files to an external drive and then backing up to a second drive. ... any feedback will be appreciated!! as of now I am apprehensive of touching any file on LR, as it might corrupt a file at random. not sure what the solution is ...

Happy Friday! Have a great day and a fantastic weekend.

It was a gorgeous day!

always time to shoooooot

Today's challenge in Our Daily Challenge is "Bright". I thought about how I best wanted to portray this and had a few ideas in mind but this one worked the best. I think it's pretty bright... LOL! Brighter than I would normally make it I think.. I hope everyone is having a great day!

Incidentally, I found these three little mini wine glasses at a thrift shop the other day and I was just waiting for the right shot to use them in. I think they are actually wine glass shaped shot glasses.. they are so cute! I find so many great photo props in thrift shops.. a pretty cheap way to pick up some great props (these were 25 cents each) and then when your done with them you just drop them back off where you found them. Maybe another photog will find them inspirational...it was a bit of a fluke that I had three marbles that happen to match the food coloring tinted water.. didn't even have to play around with the mixture. Was like it was meant to be... LOL!

On a night dive, I found several species of parrotfishes sleeping in nooks in the reef.

No, I did not wake it. I approached and retreated stealthily, for they cover themselves in a thin layer of mucus to hide their smell from nocturnal predators. If they are disturbed, their invisible shield is lost, making them vulnerable.

Corner coffee shop closes early. The whole town closes early.

Driving around town at twilight my wife and I spotted a group of sparrows or small black birds hanging out at thier favorite city traffic light. Since the light was fading away and mostly gray i used a bit of photoshop to hype up the graphic feeling. i like those two that have the penthouse view on top of the red light and its that little diffence that make the eye enjoy this little congo line of feathered friends even more.

The person behind me had their brights on.
