Steephill Cove, Ventnor, Isle of Wight. On the southern tip of the IoW, Ventnor is known for its unique warm microclimate and as a health resort. Known as the English Mediterranean and Mayfair by the Sea in Victorian times and enjoyed by generations of visitors since. Designated an AONB, an area of outstanding Natural Beauty and a Marine Special Area of Conservation.
No access for at least a week. It was predicted today but fully cloudy and more snow.
This was taken almost 2 weeks ago that I had access. Behind this island is St. Lawrence River, starting to close down with spreading ice.

Explorer Samuel de Champlain founded a French settlement here in 1608, and adopted the Algonquin name. Quebec City is one of the oldest European settlements in North America. The ramparts surrounding Old Quebec (Vieux-Québec) are the only fortified city walls remaining in the Americas north of Mexico. This area was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985 as the "Historic District of Old Québec".

Charlevoix (Québec)
Another view below of massive dead tree and many resting. Actually 50% flew off when I canoed to this region for photography.
Many artists settled in the Charlevoix region. Mountains, the river, local products, and more. Nature is generous. Light industry is particularly magnififque.
Beaucoup d'artistes s'installent dans la région de Charlevoix. Des montagnes, le fleuve, des produits du terroir, et encore plus. La nature est généreuse. La lumière du secteur est particulièrement magnififque.
Initial view with camera just above water with the low section of the canoe on the left, paddle in middle and sunset low on right. Below, closer view sunset…
They hang around here on this island for safety and the creation of baby Cormorants.
This is on top of a dead tree on the island that they access. A closer view below…
Also lots of cold weather, +2 C, pluses heavy cold weather. Intermittent ice water. Fortunately no more broken trees like it was done 2 years age.
A drive along the St. Lawrence River. You may see these lovely Mute Swans floating gracefully above the reeds.
