This group of mushrooms or fungi was spotted this past Friday. I liked the color version but the detail and textures, as well as shapes really show off in mono!

These lovely looking small (around 10 mm diameter) 'shrooms pop up in lawns everywhere, and are definitely not edible!

A fungus that appeared in our yard this spring. Glendale, Missouri

Oudemansiella mucida, commonly known as porcelain fungus, is a basidiomycete fungus of the Physalacriaceae family and native to Europe.

O. mucida is a white, slimy wood-rot fungus and is strongly tied to rotting beech, where it grows in clusters. It is in season late summer to late autumn, and tiny fungi can then sometimes be seen parachuting from high branches, when they are dislodged by the wind on breezy days.

Kath and Alan, from across the road, rang to say they had discovered a skink with a young one in a box they were clearing from their garden shed and would I like to get some photos. The skinks will feature in coming days. While we were releasing the skinks I spotted some 'Shrooms in their front lawn.
