It was a cool summer evening, but these rowers warmed up with the exertion and exhileration of propelling themselves along on the surface of the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal. [P1040766_lr_2000]

Beautiful monday sunset with amazing orange - blue colors,, lake so calm, peaceful evening and lone rower.
There was a lot of activity on the water at Clevedon last night, a lone swimmer going back and forth, a swim club who set off around the pier and a group of rowers captured here.
This rowing team was practicing on Lake St. Louis. They belong to the nearby Canoe Rowing Club. I did not have my camera so took it on my cellphone; it is kind of a muted shot but I liked the simplicity of this capture. It looks more like a watercolour painting. and maybe I should do just that, create a painting just as it is.
NZ are hoping our rowers do well at the Olympics. A popular sport over here. This was taken back in summer early in the morning.
Rower Airshows put on a fine display of flying. Only 450 horse power and fills the skies with manuvers.
