The Green Heron sits a foot or two over the water on a branch and waits for the prey to come by much like a Night Heron. When they see their prey they get ready to spring. A split second later this fellow was darting at the fish below.

Wayne spotted this red reflector on the fender of an old bike during our visit to Working Bikes in Pilsen. It was at the end of a huge rack; one of many. Working Bikes is a non-profit organization that refurbishes donated and discarded bikes. It is housed in an old warehouse built in 1897.
The beautiful tones of neglect and rebellion whilst using completely the wrong lens for the job absolutely on purpose.

La Vall de Núria
"The Valley of Núria"
is a south-opening valley coming down from the crest of the Pyrenees within the municipality of Queralbs, province of Girona, community of Catalonia, Spain.
The floor of the valley lies about 2,000 metres (6,600 ft) above sea level and is accessible from the south via a rack railway (the Vall de Núria Rack Railway) or by foot, and from France to the north by footpaths.
There are no roads to access the valley.
The place is historically notable for the 1931 drafting of the first Catalan Statute of Autonomy, in the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Núria.
A broken drying rack near Reine, used to dry fish; you see them all over the islands. Very useful for compositional purposes :)
A short rack train screams eastbound up Archer Hill just outside of Cheyenne, WY on UP's Sidney Subdivision. This was the first of four eastbounds in about 1.5 hours that would depart Cheyenne.

A rack and pinion is a type of linear actuator that comprises a circular gear (the pinion) engaging a linear gear (the rack). Together, they convert between rotational motion and linear motion: rotating the pinion causes the rack to be driven in a line. Conversely, moving the rack linearly will cause the pinion to rotate.

This Pentax bellows set was purchased in Thailand while I was stationed there in 1972 (USAF). At some point in the early 80’s a friend milled out the Pentax screw threads and machined a Nikon bayonet mount into what was left. He used an indexing rotary table on a Bridgeport vertical mill (a really talented guy).
I have been using it on occasion for over 50 years. The Spotmatic II that I bought it for lasted about 7 or 8 years.
The frame is 1.5 inches wide.
The Montserrat Rack Railway is a mountain railway line north of Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain. The line runs from Monistrol de Montserrat to the mountain-top monastery of Montserrat.
The line is 5 km (3.1 mi) long and has a rail gauge of 1,000 mm (3 ft 3 3⁄8 in). The first 1 km (0.6 mi) of the line, between Monistrol and the only intermediate station at Monistrol Vila, is operated by conventional adhesion. The remainder of the line is operated as a rack railway using the Abt system, overcoming a height difference of 550 m (1,804 ft) with a maximum gradient of 15.6 %. The line is electrified with an overhead supply at 1500 V DC.
The line is operated by the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC). (4/3/2015)

The Corcovado Train (Portuguese: Trem do Corcovado) is a rack railway in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from Cosme Velho to the summit of the Corcovado Mountain at an altitude of 710 m (2,329 ft). The summit is known for its statue of Christ the Redeemer and its views over the city and beaches of Rio.
The line is 3.8 km (2.4 mi) long. It is a 1,000 mm gauge rack railway using the Riggenbach rack system. I took this shot over the shoulder of our driver as we passed a train descending from the mountain. The rolling stock was built by SLM of Winterthur in Switzerland.
There are four trains, each of two cars. Three of them are used simultaneously. The trip takes approximately 20 minutes and departs every 20 minutes, giving a capacity of 540 passengers per hour. Due to this limited capacity the wait at the entry station can be several hours.
The line has been ridden by many famous people, including Pope Pius XII, Pope John Paul II, Alberto Santos-Dumont, Albert Einstein, Diana, Princess of Wales and myself.
Vrh nad Laškim is a small village above the left banks of Savinja river. Its church is standing on a panoramic hill. On this picture, interesting is also the double hay-rack on the right.
Seaview SW-7 #5 spots some loaded auto-racks at NORAD's Davisville, RI, unloading yard. The headout car is a still fairly fresh, and graffiti-less, Providence and Worcester auto-rack; the previous owner of the little EMD switcher.

I had lens in little pouches sitting all over my office and I decided that it was time to clean things up a bit.. So I ordered a Wine Rack and put it together and stored my lens this way.. At lest it gives me a lot more room for other things... Just for info in case you are interested, I ordered it from Amazon and the little squares are 3 1/2 inches and the lens on the very top is a Fisheye and it would only fit in that one space...
