We took the kiddos to Rosse Posse Acres-- An Elk Ranch--where we saw lots of elks, obviously, and other animals at the Petting Zoo. We learned a bunch about elk behaviour in general and their antlers' history specifically.

An oldie but goodie! I did this painting a few years ago, but wanted to share it anew. I collect marbles and I also love to paint them. This painting showcases several of the different types of marbles that I own. What fascinates me about this composition are the reflections and distortions caused by the three glass vessels and also the odd shadows that they create. I was also interested in the different shapes and colors of the three vessels. Photorealism is a fascinating style to work in because of all the detail the camera can capture - all the tiny nuances that the eye usually overlooks.

They look pretty tame in this pic, but these guys headed straight across the river to where Sam and I were hanging, like a posse..............Sam told them that she does not negotiate with terrorists, but agreed to refrain from chasing them around.
Mongolian Golden Eagle Festival! Good luck with trying to get group shots like this with hordes of tourists not trying to pose with them!
This photo of men on horseback in front of Kate Kearney's Cottage in Kerry really does bring to mind a posse in Western films, with caps instead of stetsons. Were they tour guides perhaps?
