Hope it's a good week for everyone. ;)
Once the largest glasshouse on Earth, the Temperate House at Kew is the world's largest surviving glass structure.
Deigned by Decimus Burton work began on it in 1860 and was not completed until 1898.
It contains plants and trees from all the temperate regions of the world.
A great rainy day activity that your family will thank you for!

Phil and I went to the second day of the Northbridge Festival just to see if there was anything interesting going on. It was pretty dead though. The circus group that was supposed to be performing had cancelled due to injury (...unfortunate) and there was only a bit of music here and there. We did see the outdoor Earth from Above photography exhibition, which was good. ( www.earthfromabove.com.au/ ) We also saw these giant ice cream cones in the park. I have no idea if they're always there or if they were part of the festival as well.

Props to Callie for taking this for me.
Not a real tattoo, no, just an airbrush.
I would have to think a little more about that one.

From last week’s trip to the Flower Fields in Carlsbad. Canon is having a macro seminar there tomorrow that I’m hoping to attend ….. be warned ….. more flower shots. ;) Hope you’re having a great weekend!
My mom. SOOC. Only thing edited was collage on Picnik (I'll miss you). She allowed me to test out the Lightscoop since the kids resist the camera. I did the Lightscoop first and then the flash. I am loving both the Lightscoop and the updated and cleaned D80. Nikon's service rocks!
This is a revised version of this collage After I uploaded that one I realized that I had messed up. With Picnik and collages there is no going back and replacing a photo.
When you are in the Galapagos, there are so many wonderful creatures to be WITH, really WITH, in their natural environment, that one loses track!
Thanks for your visit and your appreciation of our furry/feathered/hard-shelled friends.
