The Miller Apartments or Flats, constructed in 1906 by Abraham Barker, are another example of the multi-family housing available to residents of Springfield's Enos Park neighborhood in the late 19th and early 20th century. Currently there are three original flats in this classical revival style building. The rest are one bedroom and studios and still retain the old world charm of hardwood floors and woodwork, pocket doors, mantelpieces and steam heat radiators.

This property has been identified as a potential candidate for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.

This prairie style and arts and crafts influenced apartment building was occupied by the family of Abraham Barker, who constructed the Miller Apartments shown previously. While the date of construction is not known, the building was purchased and modified by Barker in 1915.

According to the Fever River Research Report on the Architectural Resources of the Enos Park Neighborhood (1997, revised 2005) a total of 25 apartment buildings have been identified in Enos Park dating between 1892 and the mid-1930s. The construction of these buildings are primarily concentrated in the south half of Enos Park. 704-706 N. Fifth St., also known as the Barker Apartments, is another example of the multi-family, middle-class housing available to residents of Springfield's Enos Park neighborhood in the late 19th and early 20th century.

This property is identified in the Fever River report as a potential candidate for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.

Constructed in 1906, Stubbs Apartments (a.k.a. Stubbs Flats) is a six flat, three-story residential apartment building at 710 N. 5th Street in Springfield's revitalized Enos Park Neighborhood. The building, designed in the Classical Revival architectural style, was constructed by builder, brick and masonry contractor and Springfield landlord James A. Stubbs (1864-1937). Stubbs, a native of England, came to Springfield from Canada in 1892. He remained an active builder and brick contractor in the city until his death.

Springfield is the Capital city of the State of Illinois. It is the home of 16th President Abraham Lincoln, and is where President Barack Obama spent his early career in politics. Springfield's population was 114,394 at the 2020 census.

It may come as a surprise to see noisy, green-and-gray parrots racing through cities in the U.S. But Monk Parakeets, native to South America but long popular in the pet trade, established wild populations here in the 1960s. They are the only parrots to nest communally; dozens live together year-round in large, multifamily stick nests built in trees and on power poles. These large group nests may be one aid to surviving the cold winters in adopted cities as far north as Chicago and New York.

A view of the Phillip and Sophia Young House. Young was a diagnosing pharmacist and preacher. The west (right) half of the house was built around 1855. The original architect is unknown, but the architectural style of the house is Greek Revival. The house became a multi-family dwelling in 1904 when the east (left) side addition, designed by Bloomington architect Arthur Pillsbury, was completed.

The Phillip & Sophia Young House is a contributing property in Bloomington's East Grove Street District. This residential historic district includes 43 houses and apartment buildings, 25 of which are considered contributing buildings. The houses in the district were built between 1855 and 1915 for many of Bloomington's upper middle class residents. Due to a building boom between 1880 and 1900, the then-popular Queen Anne style is the most prevalent in the district. Other popular architectural styles in the district include Greek Revival homes from the 1850s, Italianate homes built between 1860 and 1880, and Arts and Crafts homes built in the 1900s. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1987.

Bloomington is the seat of McLean County. It is adjacent to Normal, and is the more populous of the two principal municipalities of the Bloomington-Normal metropolitan area. Bloomington is home to State Farm Insurance, Country Financial and Beer Nuts. Illinois Wesleyan University is located here, while the neighboring twin city of Normal is home to Illinois State University and Heartland Community College. Bloomington is 135 miles (217 km) southwest of Chicago, and 162 miles (261 km) northeast of St. Louis. The estimated population of Bloomington in 2019 was 77,330, with a metro population of 191,067.

The 326-acre property has now been sold to the Chicago Bears National Football League (NFL) team. The Bears have announced plans to build a new football stadium there, along with a multi-use development to include restaurants, stores, offices, a hotel, multifamily housing, a performance venue, parks and open spaces.

Karl-Marx-Hof (English: Karl Marx Court) is a Gemeindebau (English: municipal housing complex) built between 1927 and 1930. At 1,100 metres (0.68 mi) in length and spanning four tram stops, Karl-Marx-Hof is one of the longest single residential buildings in the world.

The housing held 1,382 apartments (with a size of 30–60 m2 each). Only 18.5% of the 156,000 m2-large area was built up, with the rest of the area developed into play areas and gardens. Designed for a population of about 5,000, the premises include many amenities, including laundromats, baths, kindergartens, a library, doctor's offices, and business offices.

The housing was designed by architect and city planner Karl Ehn.

Apartments along the shore of the river Nissan, construction started after the year 2000. The red tower to the left is an old pump tower that has been preserved. There are eight blocks in the neighbourhood with around 1500 apartments.

The frame and the walls are made of wood - a climate-positive building that stores carbon dioxide. It's a super insulated passive house. On the roof there are solar cells. 41 apartments in two buildings in a tenant-owners' society called "Brf Notuddsparken". On the ground floor there is a room for parking and washing of bicycles. The tenants have two electric transport bikes and two electric cars they share. Those two cars have parking places next to the two buildings - other cars have to use the multistory car park at the entrance to the neighborhood. The buildings will be environmentally classified.

The frame and the walls are made of wood - a climate-positive building that stores carbon dioxide. Both sides of the roof and the balcony gables are made of solar cells. Those solar cells (130,000 kWh/year) plus a part of a solar park (100,000 kWh/year) produce more energy than the tenants use (measured after one year). 15 apartments for rent in each of the two buildings owned by the building company ETC Bygg. On the ground floor there is a shared laundry and a room for bicycles.

There is also a car pool - the electric red Tesla in front of the building.
