After Part Of The OLE Cantilever Arrangement Failed Due To Water Ingress Freezing And Forcing Out The Crimped End, Resulting In It Dropping Below The Contact Wire Height Before It Was Hit By The Pantograph Of 1G15.

Fortunately This Activated The ADD (Automatic Drop Device) To Lower The Pan Before It Could Do Too Much Damage, But It Did Result In Substantial Delays To Trains Before We Could Arrange To Get In There And Replace The Damaged Tubing.

The Snow Had Started To Fall Hard In The Already Freezing Conditions As The Guys From Sandwell & Dudley's OHL North Team Utilise Of There Geismar MEWP's To Get Things Back Up And Running Ready For Trains To Run as Normal Later In The Morning.

Another one from Mupe Bay, down on the Jurassic coast, Dorset.

Going down there wasn't the easiest task ever, this area is just filled of "ankle twisters" like these ones and most of the rocks under sea are covered by some very slippery sea algae. Anyway, was definately good fun trying to avoid falling over, or getting engulfed by the tide coming in or the huge waves crashing close-by on the rocks further to the right of the image.

From Mupe Bay, taken during the same trip as my previous post, please roll over there for more information on that day.

Mupe Bay is located to the East of Lulworth Cove, Dorset. Being on army grounds Mupe Bay is only accessible on most weekends and at certain holiday seasons. A shame for us really as the area gives you an amazing view on the Chalk Cliffs of Bindon Hill and has some intriguing rock formation all along the bay from a break in the Wealden strata (from what I understand) and folds in the upper broken beds.

Bit of a different approach on this one really, and only my second go at such processing but I feel I didn't get too far from what I had in mind so any feedback whether positive or negative would be welcome =) Thanks!

Tried a square crop too but only found it equally satisfying so settled for the whole.

A total track possession between Bedford & Market Harborough meant that the MMLE team could get plenty electrification work done. Here, MEWPs and a rail crane lift small part steelwork for Tensorex units onto a mono-anchor boom at Harrowden Junction. A new signal gantry (to replace the one further south) can also be seen.

SRS 25 ton MEWP (Multi Elevated Work Platform) Road / Rail Lorry Carry's Out Overhead Line Renewal Work On The Stechford - Aston Branch On The 23rd March 2006

I'm not going to be modest or anything. But I think this is like, my best sticker yet. I feel like, okay now. I mean, I don't know. Maybe add shading? But I don't have the right paint marker for it...Mewp.

Two Of SPLs Cell 4 Road Rail MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms) Working On Behalf Of Network Rail, Carryout Work To Renew Parts Of The 1960s Overhead Line Equipment On The Main Lines Running Through The Middle Of Bescot Yard.

After the second storm of Christmas week hit, the only real damage for the railways in the West Midlands was when a 50ft Poplar tree was up rooted in Pleck Park and crashed onto the Darlaston Branch Line. All the overhead equipment ended up on the floor, with 10 structures severely damaged, but virtually no inconvenience to services as it only sees a couple of freight services a day anyway.

Here is Network Rails U400 MEWP, with Darren Lissemore at the controls, from Sandwell & Dudley Overhead depot, with John Hill & Paul Rowley making good the damage.

Normal service was resumed a little over 36 hours later.
