I used to see his brilliant work at a higher rank, if not the highest, in explore. He was really good at photography and he maintained a very good taste.

I had interactions with many of his work, to which he was very appreciative and uniquely reciprocative.

About three months ago, I noticed that he’s not around! I checked on his page and knew that he wasn’t feeling well. So, I dropped a note on the last work he posted, wished him a quick recovery and told him that I look forward to see him back soon on Flickr.

Yesterday, I saw that post by John B. with the sad news!

I personally feel that Keith is a great loss to many, including Flickr community, and from here, I’m dedicating this post to extend my sincere condolences to his family, friends and everyone in his circle. RIP, my friend!

Merci beaucoup pour vos visites et commentaires ♥, thank you so much for the visit and kind comments.

Un gros merci à ceux qui partagent leur découverte.

Once upon a time, when we still had Jinks, our lovely vet invited me to a cream tea organised by Canine Partners, a charity of which she was a trustee and which provides assistance dogs to people in wheelchairs needing extra help.

My brief, besides eating a cream tea, was to take photos for her to use in talks about the charity - and to take photos for myself as I wished.

Meet Keith, one of the labradors trained to assist people in wheelchairs with everyday tasks.

I felt privileged to be asked to undertake this voluntary work which was not only enjoyable but a great experience in obtaining photos in a different environment.

You may have noticed Canine Partner's signature colour..........

Not many signal boxes permit the signal man to hang a plate telling the passers by his name.

Heres to Keith who is facilitating 43138 to pass safely through his section with the 1102 Inverness to Aberdeen.

Full zoom for maximum compression and cropped as much as I dare to exaggerate the exhaust plume and give Keith his time in the spotlight.

Such a delightful place with so much to photograph, I could have stayed here all week and not had a wasted trip.

Known these two beautiful souls for over twelve years. SL Family & RL Family and BFF , love these two tones

My father-in-law Keith Page doing magic on his show "Tell Me Why" around 1961.

Two Canadian Goslings, hiding in the grass at Sandwell Valley, West Midlands, UK. Mum (or Dad) wasn't far away and, despite hissing at me, let me hang around for long enough to zoom in and take a shot. At the risk of showing my age I've called them Keith and Orville :)

Keith was on the southeast corner of Lake and State. Two months ago, he was displaced by an apartment fire. "Police had to break down the exit, because it had a padlock on it--they had to open it to get us out." So right now, he's on a housing waiting list to get off the street. "I'm always out here", he said. He's always hustling to make ends meet.

ScotRail Class 158 Nos. 158738 & 158701 arrive at Keith on the former Great North of Scotland line with 1H31, the 11:55 Aberdeen – Inverness service on 17th June 2021.

2021 represents a significant milestone in the history of the Phoenix Railway-Photographic Circle with the celebration of our 50th anniversary by publishing a book to showcase some of the members work, past and present, from 1971 to the present day. The book contains 14 chapters and 144 pages of photographs depicting the work of over 50 accomplished railway photographers with many differing styles and approaches. It takes an alternative view on photographing the railway scene over the past 50 years. The book, called 50 Years of Phoenix is now available – click on this link to order your copy: www.mortonsbooks.co.uk/product/view/productCode/15554

Very much a 'for the record' shot whilst I was on the walk to attempt 1H61 which the clouds ultimately had other ideas for. Glad I got this anyway as at least it's in the sunshine! On a different note, how many bottles of Chivas Regal do you think those barrels in the background could fill?

Went out and did a shoot last week with a couple good friends of mine, Keith Mokris and Todd Owyoung .

Todd brought along his D3, 14-24mm, and 24-70mm, while Keith brought his lovely D300 and 17-55.

Oh yeah, did I mention we had an sb-900, 2x sb-800's, and 4x sb-600's? Todd and Keith both brought stands and umbrellas, but we just used 1 reflective umbrella for our shoot. It was a fun, fun day. I suggest you check out their shots as well!

Strobist Info:

SB-900 on Nikon d80. sb-800 above cam left into reflective at 1/2, sb-600 behind left bare at 1/16, sb-800 into wall behind to right bare at 1/8, and sb-600 cam right bare at 1/8.

These aren't for sure powers on the flashes, as I didn't write them down and don't remember them -- I really wish it was incorporated into the EXIF, somehow...

Keith Richards - 75 today. A Very Happy Birthday to you sir.

Ive waited for ages to see a Bullied Pacific in action, and I admit to having a serious soft spot for them (I do prefer unrebuilt form though!) however, my duck has been broken with 34053 "Sir Keith Park" stretching her legs at the Swanage Railway Spring gala.

I wasn't disappointed. such a stunning loco and a real credit to those who put in the hard work and expense of restoring (and running) her.

Incidentally, she was the 153rd loco to leave Barry.....

Ive gone for a mono representation and a square crop, emulating my dads' pictures from his 1950's/1960's forays into Dorset and the West Country with my Grandparents in their 600cc BSA and sidecar.

Worthy of note is the lack of last three cabside digits - I presume she has carried the identity of a long lost classmate (as is often done in preservation) and the correct numerals have yet to be re-applied.

These two always seem to make it to my sideboard when I redecorate it! Oh Well .... if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be here at all so they deserve it!!!! ♥

Keith has gotten a new Monarch body, which was how I imagined him from the beginning! I'm really excited about it because now he's even sexier!!

Lauren is wearing one of Mattel's new outfits. I Love the 'Weekend' tank!!

Also she's wearing a necklace by Leslie ... Bogostick!

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Keith Ball, an artist who I have known for many years and whose work has been exhibited all over the world, from New York, to Moscow and many places in-between. At the end of the session I asked him to write 50-100 words...and this is what he wrote: As you pass through time - and vice versa - you realize that you're just the same as everyone else - different! Unique people are ten-a-penny. But we try to make our mark, all of us, at the same time. Somewhere out/in deepest space there floats a small black velvet cushion. On that cushion sits an electronic recording of a barely perceptible voice endlessly repeating these words: 'Would you mind, awfully, keeping the noise down a bit ?'
