At the eastern edge of Hopeman beach lies the iconic rock formation known locally as ‘Daisy Rock’, so named because of the milk-daisies which grow around the structure, this image is a long exposure capture of some 20 seconds duration to give the milky effect to the sea.

El #CarpinteroCampestre (#ColaptesCampestris) es una especie de ave de la familia del pájaro carpintero. Se encuentra en una amplia gama de hábitats abiertos y semiabiertos en el este de #Brasil, #Bolivia, #Paraguay, #Uruguay y el noreste de #Argentina, con poblaciones aisladas en Amapá y el sur de Surinam. Aunque con frecuencia se puede ver en árboles o arbustos, es uno de los pocos pájaros carpinteros que pasa una parte significativa de su vida en el suelo. Se reproduce en huecos de árboles, termiteros o bancos de tierra. En general, es común y, por lo tanto, la UICN (Unión Internacional para la Conservación de la Naturaleza) lo considera de menor preocupación. La población del sur tiene una garganta blanca (no negra) y, a veces, se considera una especie separada, el Carpintero pampeano (Colaptes campestroides). Fuente: Wikipedia

The #CampoFlicker (Colaptes campestris) is a species of bird in the woodpecker family. It is found in a wide range of open and semi-open habitats in eastern Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay and north-eastern Argentina, with isolated populations in Amapá and southern Suriname. Though it frequently can be seen in trees or bushes, it is among the very few woodpeckers that spends a significant portion of its life on the ground. It breeds in holes in trees, termite mounds or earth banks. It is generally common, and therefore considered to be of least concern by IUCN. The southern population has a white (not black) throat, and is sometimes considered a separate species, the Field Flicker (Colaptes campestroides). Source: #Wikipedia
