At Agia Pelagia, Crete, a winch to lift boats out of the water(?)

I already gave the order to hoist the sails, but the mast is missing. Apparently there is supposed to be a mast attached to the deck of the boat. So, “Hoist the mast, you land lubbers!” I don’t think I have any hope of getting to Tortuga for the pirate convention and general brawl. That will be a shame. I’ll have to text Blond Beard and tell him I’ll be late.

One of the old crane hoists on Bristol Dockside.

This is your basic "Moon Hoist". It's very helpful on overcast nights or nights when there are total eclipses. I was driving along when I saw this huge crane. Then I saw the crescent moon and it occurred to me that if I could find just the fight angle, it might make a funny picture. With the world in the shape it's in, right now, we could all use a little humor. It took quite a bit of finagling to find a position where I could get this. But, TA DAH or VOILA !!

Shot for Our Daily Challenge :“Power / Powered”

Good thing my sister has a bit of muscle on her to assist in the handling of some of her newer (old) equipment. I'll just watch from here...oh and maybe hoist some equipment of my own. I'll not be needing any assistance; my camera is plastic.
