Gummi Jack-o-Lanterns for the Macro Mondays group, challenge: Halloween. Happy Macro Monday!

These are the original gummi bears. Technically, they are Goldbears by the Haribo of America, Inc. company, manufactured since 1922. But when you look at them up close they look more like monsters than bears.

Strobist/technical info:

Each Gummi Bear is 2 cm tall. The scene is a 5-image focus stack composite. It was illuminated by two Nikon SB900 speedlights. The first speedlight was placed 100° CL, at camera level, 16-inches away from the subject and fired with a snoot in Manual mode @ 1⁄64 power. The second speedlight was placed 90° CR, three-feet away and two-feet above the subject. It was fired through a 24" x 24" Neewer soft box in Manual mode @ 1⁄2 power.

The SB900's were triggered by three PockerWizard Plus X's.

Lens: Tokina AT - X M100 AF PRO D (AF 100mm f / 2.8 Macro).
