There are places we can go. Sometimes there are places we should not go. Roads that lead us away and roads that bring us home. And roads we do not know where they go. Those are the ones that make us curious.

Who have you invited in as your loved ones, in the life you are living

Have you even dared think that your family may be not your true loved ones

Often they don't see you as a human being

They might see you as a cleaner in the house, a cook - only to full fill their own needs

If they do, and of course there are hopefully lots of exceptions

Then they only care about themselves, there aren't any room for you there

They are so full of themselves that they wouldn't even think of doing nice things for you

They are not worthy being called your loved ones, because you aren't their loved ones

Even tho they are family

It may actually be a stranger or a friend

Who sees you

Who appreciate your deeper self and

Your soul

The ones that see you and praise your inner being, is worthy to be called your loved ones

You thrive in their company

You look forward to being with them

They give you happiness

They give you love

They give you support

And you will grow as a human being

Being worthy is essential

Why should we bother use our time being an obedient servant, when we actually have a life to live

The entrance is there, perhaps you should kick some asses you too.

What comes in can go out, the same entrance.

I certainly did.

Did it hurt

Yes

Am I thriving

Yes

Definitely

I figured it was about time to share a photo of "The Entrance" itself: the point where the Tasman Sea meets Tuggerah Lake.

It’s such a fascinating area. Tuggerah Lake is an estuary, a unique mix of freshwater and seawater where rivers and streams flow into a coastal lagoon, maintaining an open connection to the sea.

For me, it has been a place of endless photographic opportunities—and kayaking adventures. Whether paddling down rivers into the lake, boating across its waters, or exploring the foreshore teeming with birdlife, this place has been a constant source of enjoyment for me and so many others.

The Entrance is more than just a location—it’s a transition zone, where rivers meet the ocean, where different forces and environments collide. That’s what makes it my favourite kind of place.

Wishing you all a great Monday - "the entrance" to a new week! Thank you for any comments and likes, they are always greatly appreciated!

Waterscape 9/100 for 2025.

Another one of our 49 beaches— and somehow, I only just realised I’d never been here before! One of the smallest, too. The little breakwall is designed to protect the channel where the ocean flows into the lake, creating such an interesting landscape. Geography? Geology? Either way, it’s a fascinating spot.

The Entrance is best known as a tourist destination, with a fantastic waterfront park for kids, lots of fish and chip and ice cream shops (my fave), small carnival in the park, magnificent water views and, of course, the famous pelican feeding, where hundreds of pelicans gather for a meal courtesy of Marine Wildlife Rescue.

Wishing you all a great new week!

As always, thanks for your comments—they’re truly appreciated! 😊

unterwegs in München

Europe, Greece, Peleponnesos, Argolida, Tiryns, Tholos entrance (slightly cut)

Shown here is the entrance of the tholos (beehive grave) near Tiryns, shown in the previous post. Tiryns is, one of the Bronze age Mycenean strongholds of Argolida. The tholos was constructed during the earlty part of the Mycenean period (1525 to 1300 BC) which is sginified by its rubble masonry (using field stones) construction and the absence of the 'relieving triangle' (a triangular void above the door to lower the pression that's exerted on the lintel) and the ony partly covered sides of the entrance way (the dromos).

Much about Mycenean culture and its place in the history of the Bronze age is still unknown – from the nature of the relationship between the palace-cities and the hinterland to the reason, the Mycenean civilization eventually vanished. This happened during The late Bronze Age Collapse. At this time many civilizations of the eastern Mediterranean collapsed. What is known is that it had to do with a combination of climate change (endogenic, not exogenic like we’re experiencing now) and other natural disasters. And of course the 'Sea peoples' - invasive tribes that raided and sacked like early day Vikings. The position of Myceneans in this, however, is unclear. According to some historians the Myceneans suffered from the Sea peoples, according to others they were one of the tribes constituting them.
