The German Embassy in Copenhagen resides in a building called Portland Towers. It is constructed on two old cement silos.

Copenhagen North Harbour used to be a tuff industrial area, but is now becoming one of the most fashinable and expensive areas in Copenhagen to live in.

Today the We're Here group are visiting the Geometric Abstract Today group.

I've been up to London today, so spoilt for choice when it came to geometric abstracts, but rather liked this bit of detail from the American Embassy.

Outside the French Embassy in Pariser Platz, Berlin, was a sizable police presence, a number of journalists with camera crews attached and a pavement ankle deep in flowers and candles. The mood was sombre of course. #Paris We will remember them.

Embassy Gardens London. My annual summer trip to the US embassy to check on the size of the flag. Usually bigger than this , Very disappointing.

Modern (2018) US Embassy designed by James Timberlake. Is a very environmentally designed building and its outside 'sails' provide many interesting architectural patterns.

A welcome break today, 7th April, 2021, from the endless school runs and rail replacement with a run out in both of Empress' Bedford J2 Plaxton Embassies, my first experience of these little curiosities.

Trump didn't like the location of the new US embassy in London compared to the old West End location but the area is going through a major upgrade and there is new buildings all around.

The building on the outskirts of the Tiergarten in Berlin Mitte was built as a grand bourgeois palace in the neoclassical style by Friedrich Hitzig in 1870/71 and has served as the seat of the Swiss Embassy since 1919. This building was originally one of many similar buildings lining the street. Today, it stands as a solitary building on the banks of the Spree, located on a river bend between Berlin’s Central Railway Stations, the German Bundestag, and the Office of the Federal Chancellor. Basel architects Diener and Diener supervised renovation and extension of the embassy, which remained empty for half a century. The Swiss authorities had a hard time retaining their valuable real estate, the only building in the neighbourhood to survive World War Two bombing raids. The original plans for the chancellery and the new administrative zone did not include an embassy in their midst.
