Some years one or other of our apple trees bear fruit. This year the variety 'Ellison Orange' has done reasonably well Most apples are still on the tree but this one is a 'windfall' but still worth bringing in and putting on the fruit dish!

As usual I'm messing around with the odd lens. I have a 'sad' broken Olympus 50mm and have been wondering if it was worth keeping. Something reminded me that I might have an odd adapter somewhere - one that enabled me to reverse the lens and the attach it to the camera.
I went looking.
I found it.!
I screwed it to the filter end of the 'sad' lens and that to the camera adapter. Theory states this gives a macro type effect. This the first attempt. Promising!

I took this shot, in part, because it mirrored a similar shot I had taken last year in Ireland. As well, the sheer ruggedness of the cliff face and the partial fog.
A pair of BNSF stack trains meet on the Media Trestle over the Ellison Creek Valley.
Pay no attention to the exposed pipeline, I'm sure it's fine...

James Ellison on the Anvil Hire Tag Racing Yamaha R1 at Brands Hatch for round 2 of the British Superbike Championship.
Saturday 16th April 2022 saw Liverpool play Manchester City in an FA Cup semi-final at Wembley. With the West Coast Main Line affected by engineering works, it was bound to produce a good selection of coaches with around 250 turning up. I noted 22 different coach body manufacturers to give plenty of variety to the day.
Just over 80 coaches turned up for the Carabao EFL Cup Final between Liverpool and Chelsea at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 27th February 2022.
Of that total, there were examples from 17 different coach manufacturers to photograph so there was plenty to enjoy even if the numbers were a little low.
My photos were taken on the approach road to the Pink and Green coach parks, the latter which is now located in a near dungeon like undercover parking area.
I visited Wembley for both the Sheffield Wednesday vs Barnsley League One Play Off Final in late May 2023 and again a week later for the FA Cup Final between Manchester City and Manchester United. Both events produced around 250 coaches each so It proved a good haul to end the season!

It's FA Cup semi-final weekend and the Saturday game was Aston Villa vs Crystal Palace with a late kick-off time of 17:15. A long drawn out day (26/04/2025) saw around 120 visiting coaches pass us, the vast majority from the Birmingham area. Of note was P50ASA, the sole UK Mercedes-Benz Atego 1524L / Erduman Touring C34FT new in 2019; a former Tootbus open-topper; a left hand drive former Stagecoach Plaxton Elite Interdeck; and numerous 25-plate coaches including examples from Meadway and Star Coaches.
