The wetlands of Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge. A place the wild horses like to graze and shore birds nest. The horses are seen off in the distance. This was taken on Woodland Trail. Woodland Trail is an easy 1.6 mile walking and bicycling paved trail. I think it's wheelchair accessible also. It starts out flat but there are some inclines once you get back into the trail. Bring insect repellent which is also available in the park store. The mosquitoes are pretty bad. The fence is probably to keep the idiots out. I actually saw a sign that read "Do Not Attempt To Ride The Wild Horses". #NPS #ChincoteagueNationalWildlifeRefuge #wetlands #WildHorses #WoodlandTrail #green #vert #Grün #grass #Gras #herbe #horses
A solitary house, sitting quietly by the water's edge. The air is warm and the breeze gently blowing along the reeds and tall grass. You hear nothing other than the waves rapping against the sandy shores. In the background, the sun steadily sets. It's Summer; a glorious time to be alive.
Been a very hot 2020 Summer. Looking forward to Fall; however, with sunsets like these, I wish summer would never end. #Summer Vibe

I think I am wrapping up the Chincoteague Adventure with this photo. There were more bird photos and other things and I may pop them up at some other point in time, but life is moving on and the camera keeps clicking! We stopped at a pullover situated just after you cross the bridge from the island to the mainland and Anita found a bunch of tiny little crabs and I see something of what all these birds are catching and eating! This little area is covered with oyster shells and there is a small oyster bed near by. A fun trip and we are still in negotiations about returning for migration season in the fall! LOL Have a wonderful day everyone. :)
