The building of the City Duma in Uglich. Above the slope of the old moat in the southeastern part of the Kremlin stands an impressive main building, decorated with a six-column portico. This is the former building of the City offices, built in 1813-1815, more than a hundred years old was the place of work of the city administration. It housed the City Duma, the City Magistrate (later the City Council), the court, the bank, the archives, the county and parish schools, the hall for public meetings, etc.
An interesting fact: the building has two main facades - one goes to the town square, and the second to the Kremlin.
The building houses the departments of the museum, the archive and the library.

Cette villa, sans doute l'une des plus belles de la Ville d'Hiver fut construite en 1895 par l'architecte J. de Miramont et l'entrepreneur P. Blavy. Daniel Iffla, son propriétaire, célèbre banquier, philanthrope et mécène, la nommera de son propre surnom Osiris.
Plus tard, vers 1907, elle fut rebaptisée, Alexandre Dumas.
La villa "Alexandre Dumas", la mal nommée, ne vit jamais l'écrivain ...

Dumas House in West Perth. I have always loved this building. It is a great example of 1965 architecture in Perth. I have several more photos from different angles to post in the coming days.

Duma - Parliament

Duma is a 23 year old Sumatran Orangutan that lives at the Johannesburg Zoo in South Africa. He is very shy. Every time I see him he always seems so sad.
The Sumatran orangutan is endemic to Sumatra island and is particularly restricted to the north of the island. In the wild, Sumatran orangutans survive in the province of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD), the northernmost tip of Sumatra.
The species has been assessed as critically endangered on the IUCN Red List since 2000. It is considered one of "The World's 25 Most Endangered Primates."
