Australia's most haunted beach on a beautiful spring day. If I were a ghost, this is the sort of place I'd hang around, not some foggy dreary old place, it's boo-tiful!. I mean ghosts should be able to have fun and enjoy themselves too hey. They would probably be good at surfing and scuba diving and stuff because they can hold their breathe a long time, like forever. And they would never need to worry about suncream because they can't get sunburnt. I think I've just got my afterlife sorted!
Hope everyone is having a great week !

Taken a little later in the morning after the sun started breaking through the fog but the light was still indirect. Thanks for looking.
Towering above the streets of Carlisle is Dixons Chimney. Built by the Dixon family in 1836 it was the tallest in the world at the time.
I believe this is Dixon Glacier as viewed across the Kachemak Bay at Homer, Alaska. The day was overcast, giving it quite the moody appearance. Although this might appear to be shot from a great height, it was shot from across the Kachemak Bay from East End Road.

BNSF H STLTUL4 18A climbs up Dixon Hill at sub 15 miles per hour with a nice looking trio on the headend. BNSF 4705 leads the charge out of the Gasconade River Valley followed by an SD70ACe, & BNSF 186, a Bluebonnet GP60. This 10 mile climb out of the valley ends at Dixon, just about the halfway point of BNSF's Cuba Subdivision between St. Louis & Springfield, Missouri.

The Mason-Dixon Trail is a 195 mile path that connects the Appalachian Trail in with the Brandywine Trail near the Delaware border. This section of the trail is located right along the western side of the Susquehanna. A beautiful walk even in the mist. Have a great weekend.

A shrine to wabi-sabi, transience & imperfection… former Los Alamos National Laboratory scientist, Johnnie Meier has been collecting road culture artifacts since 1987; in 2002 he retired & created the Museum. There is wabi-sabi beauty in the thoughtful organic arrangement of the road culture artifacts and in the fond remembrance of things that once populated our early memories.
On Highway 68, between Santa Fe & Taos, along a beautiful stretch of the Rio Grande River, the Classical Gas Museum is wonderful. Johnnie is an artistic, kind, & friendly soul. There is no admission fee instead donations for the Dixon Animal Protection Society are encouraged.

I like the people doing their fishing and BBQing thing. From my vantage point they all look so small!
