Bamboo scaffolding is a type of scaffolding made from bamboo and widely used in construction work for centuries...Bamboo Scaffolding was first introduced into the building industry in Hong Kong immediately after colonization in the 1800s. It was widely used in the building of houses and multi-story buildings... It was also useful for short-term construction projects, such as framework for temporary sheds for Cantonese Opera performances (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bamboo_scaffolding)

The building shown is Hong Kong Space Museum established 1980. It is museum of astronomy and space science in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong Government. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hong_Kong_Space_Museum)

These were very good, somewhat spicy and resembled calamari, according to another food groupie they are actually baby eels. There was considerably more of these on the dish and I wanted to capture these before they disappeared.

shot for the food group shown below, join the fun!

Lichen on a branch.I think lichen is one of the strangest organisms on earth. Apparently there is a lichen in the Arctic which is 8600 years old. Lichen is a good indicator of pollution. It won't tolerate too much of that. If you go up the mountains in Africa, it hangs in swathes from the forests on the way up ; one of the few places where the air is fairly pure, I suppose. The mighty Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank. Unfortunately was undergoing maintenance way up high under the dish so we weren't able to see it turn but an impressive sight nonetheless, better viewed large. The side structure (top left) is one of a pair of gun turrets salvaged when Lovell's budget of £120,000 was running low.

I like the slight distortion of the glass, this geometrical imperfection. This is the essence of everyday beauty - the imperfection that catches the eye and makes the world stop for a while. The imperfection that allows to slip into otherworldly.

looking in. ceiling lights.... upside down (you know I like all things this way...hehe)

I'm working on a small collection of flora and fauna you might find in the desert for a new Tiny Book. I made this digital collage with my watercolor images and some vintage maps.

I just asked him to help me with dishes....and he helped me with a nice conversation ;)

I found these excellent hazelnuts while walking along the paths in the countryside

It had been a long time since I posted any reflecting spoon images! But they are altogether too much fun! This image is from page 53 of Splash 5: Best of Watercolor. The cracks in the canyon walls look like resist to me, and I love the way that one crack leads right to the center spoon! Thanks so much for your enthusiasm and patience with me, my friends!

One of my favourite female singers of all time was Karen Carpenter, who had the most incredible and sweetest voices.
