On the Ring of Kerry heading towards Portmagee, I stopped at this viewpoint and marvelled at the rustic charm.

Dingle is a small port town on southwest Ireland Dingle Peninsula, known for its rugged scenery, trails and sandy beaches.

We are just starting our journey to see Fungie the Dolphin,

the Yacht you see belongs to Elton John, he was playing in a concert in Cork, and if you look very closely at the chap on the back of the Yacht, he looks remarkable like Elton Johns spouse David Furnish.

After an afternoon of heavy rain the sun decided to put out one last appearance over the wild Atlantic coast of south west Ireland. Had to wait it out in a pub for the rain to subside, but I think it was worth the wait.

At this time of year the sheep farmers burn the gorse on the hills of the Dingle peninsula to let the summer grass grow through for the sheep. The flames are fanned by the winds blowing in from the Atlantic.. Look closely and you will see a dolphin boat crossing in the track of the sun.
