Don't know if we will get anything from Dave's Prickly Pear this year or not.. I noticed that he didn't put the pot back in the garage this last winter and this is not a native plant for this area..
Dave Bower likes to photograph this tree at Alexander Reservoir near Soda Springs, Idaho. There are a couple of inches of very reflective ice on the lake in this photo.

I am a people watcher and Dave has great expressions when he speaks - he is quite expressive in his actions. I enjoy being with him.
I think everyone knows at least one person, that for one reason or another, a reason that you can pin-point, makes you feel good to be around. Well Dave is one of those folks for me. maybe it is his youth and vigor - I don't know. I just know that I find talking with him to be refreshing.
4/100 Strangers
Taken at the Ardingly Bike show in Sussex. Dave had a stall at the event. Many thanks for posing Dave.
96 strangers to go!
This is Dave. His rank onboard my ship is AB or Able Bodied Seaman. AB for short or deckahnd. I have know Dave since 1987 when we actually shared a cabin on an old coastal ship named the Irving Ours Polaire. At that time Dave was on one of his first ships I was then an AB myself waiting for my a promotion to 3rd Officer. Dave is my most trusted deckhand. The man knows his seamanship. This world is a small and large all at once. Crews come and go always changing. Sometimes you don't see somebody like Dave for more than 20 years then you see him everyday.
Today is actually Dave's birthday, so here is my tribute and some photos from Saturday when he came round. You can see Dave with the photobook we gave him and also the little lemon curd cakes I baked!! I called the book "10 Years of Southsea Dave" (his Flickr name, and it's a collection of all the days out and special occasions we have shared with him since we met in the autumn of 2011!

This image is part of a continuing series following the unrest and events in Minneapolis following the May 25th, 2020 murder of George Floyd.
Thanks to Liam (FD's tour manager) I was able to shoot the full Faber Drive set.
I was lucky because all the other photographers were only permitted to shoot the first three of Simple Plan. But I had an all access pass which with both bands permissions, let me shoot their full sets.
What an AMAZING night. It's definately going to be stuck in my mind forever.
Left over nuts in the garden are Dave's favourite!
A prolific and adaptable species, the eastern gray squirrel has been introduced to, and thrives in, several regions of the western United States. The gray squirrel is an invasive species in Britain; it has spread across the country and has largely displaced the native red squirrel.
