Affordable performance combined with simple mechanicals helped the Datsun 510 remain a popular automotive enthusiast's car for many years after its discontinuation.
My old friend Peter and his family swung by, grabbed me, and took me over to North Vancouver to check out the All Datsun/All Nissan show for the first time in six years. And then the rain fell. We looked a bit, we got wet, we went home. Then the sun came out. Shoganaine. August 11, 2013.

Spotted this sweet scene while driving through West Covina, California. Stopped the car and had time to walk out into the middle of the street and take two photos before cars started speeding by. #jaywalkingforart ;)
Something I didn't do, however, was look at the back of the car to see what make/model it is. My friend Dave (@skypuff on both Flickr and Instagram) thinks this is an early 1960s-model Datsun Bluebird. If you agree with Dave, or if you think it's something else, please let me know. I'm curious!
If you're in southern California, and happen to be in the West Covina area, this is on W. Sunset Avenue -- across from Del Norte Park -- if you want to try to find it.
