The bronze cattle statues on top of the Rindermarktbrunnen. The entire ensemble intends to remember the times when the Rindermarkt (= cattle market) was a place to trade cattle.

When I opened this RAW file it was a black blob with a blue wing and red eye. My goal was to build a work flow that would get more detail and never planned to post it due to the background. Any critique you have, I would love to here it.

They are very similar to the other drongos of the region but are somewhat smaller and compact with differences in the fork depth and the patterns of gloss on their feathers.
This shot will help one understand why the bird is named 'Bronzed'. The bird is a daily visitor to the backyard and it loves to announce its arrival with a harsh grating call. Also they choose prominent perches from where to scan the surroundings for prey and so it makes it easy for us to get good shots of them. They are great flyers and are a joy to watch. They actively forage for insects under the forest canopy by making acrobatic aerial sallies, often returning to their favourite perches.

At low tide the ripples in the sand were reflecting the colours of the morning sunrise.
Post processed to bring out the definition of shapes and colour palette.

Normally we'd not see them over winter, wise little birds migrate north to the warmth.
It was easy to hear calling, but took a few minutes to spot it against the old tree.
It really requires some fine sunshine to be able to see the rich green/gold of the bronzing. In overcast, its just dull brown.
Sahara sand came with southern winds and hides the sky colours of sunset, even the sun. Athens, Greece.

En traversant le pont Simone de Beauvoir, on arrive au Parc de Bercy, où se trouvent quelques belles statues.

And now for something different... a couple of days ago I was out at Confluence State Park-- the point where the Mississippi and Missouri rivers come together. Right at the tip where the rivers meet, there were quite a few of these beetles in the sand. They are a bit drab from a distance, but the patterns and colors become apparent when you look closely. Very cool little beetles!
Mark Swan's bronze sculpture "Diva" at the Royal Horticultural Society Wisley Gardens in Surrey. There are plenty of sculptures in this vast area, and this one in particular, facing a pond and surrounded by benches where people can sit down and relax, produces an element of playfulness. Playfulness is important for horticulture which, at the RHS Wisley, people are a dead serious about.
Since I had the wing-tip shoes I graduated college in, and was married in, I got them bronzed at Nieman-Marcus in Chicago. II decided to try it with the weather. Heee

Unfortunately I couldn't find the plaque with the name of this striking sculpture author - neither on site no on the Internet. My French is probably not good enough for that. But I'd like to know... what are these offerings, what is the story?
These bronze whaler sharks inhabit subtropical waters, and they feed on smaller sharks, rays, and bony fish. Unfortunately, bronze sharks are prime targets for both commercial and sports fishermen.
This is by far the most beautifully metallic green individual I've ever found! Absolutely stunning!!

A bronze piece depicting a man reclining in attendance to a banquet. It was once part of the support for a bronze bowl. From Dodona, Greece and probably a Laconian work, dating to circa 530-500 B.C.
Now on display at British Museum.
