so I thought I counted down as to what I set the shutter for...I guess I was wrong. Photo still turned out cool!
If i was to tell you, I camped for 2 weeks in Yosemite, had the pleasure of meeting many friendly people from all corners of the globe and the kindness these strangers extended to me ranged from food, batteries, a place to sit and their TIME...would you believe that it restored my faith in the people of the world?
I could tell you about the women (from Africa) who walked up as I sat at Glacier point, she started crying...Why?? the beauty of the park overcame her.
These two week, will stand out for me as the best two weeks of my life.
*photo: taken near Glacier Point on a very special night.
The colors came from the setting sun which was behind me... not a fire. It was AMAZING!

Picture taken during a nice hike on a beautiful morning at the "Grüner See" (engl: Green Lake") before enjoying a scuba dive in it's crystal clear water. Amazing for diving but too cold for swimming because the water temperature is about 6°C (43°F).
San Millán has a claim to being the birthplace of the Spanish language. The area is Spanish-speaking but some of the local place-names are of Basque origin, and there is evidence that Basque was spoken locally a thousand years ago. The Monastery, pictured herein, houses numerous original books written in "Castizo."
Learning how to be still, to really be still and let life happen- that stillness becomes a radiance.

This was literally a screwing around shot. We were just leaving the North Window Arch after sunset, and the sunlight was completely gone. I decided to try a long exposure from a distance, and propped my camera up with a few rocks, touched the shutter, and this is what I got. I need to try more shots like this lol.

End the day in Ramiro Barcelos in Porto Alegre-RS.
I love that window and its vision.
The Reformed Church in Neerijnen dates from 1865. The Reformed Church in Neerijnen dates from 1865. The church stands out because an ocher yellow stone is used. In 1975 the church was painted white, but the restoration in 2004 brought back the original color. A house of God had stood on the site of the Reformed Church Neerijnen for centuries. In 1865 it was decided to build stone specimens. The building was designed and built in the English Neo-Gothic style by city architect A.M.A. Gulden from Zaltbommel. The interior of the church still contains some original elements, such as an oak pulpit from 1868 and an organ from the same year. Until the early 1970s, the gentlemen's bench was reserved for the residents of Neerijnen Castle.
The garden is located in the shelter of a forest, idyllically just in front of the church in a beautiful setting. The beautiful castle garden of Neerijnen has been restored by volunteers and has been lovingly maintained since 1996. It is a true pleasure garden with old greenhouses, beautiful rose hedges and special flowers and plants, with the church as a backdrop.
This kayaker was peacefully enjoying the grand view on the reflective waters of Two Medicine Lake in Glacier National Park, Montana. My wife and I had just finished a hiking tour. I could not resist the opportunity of sneaking behind and framing him and his colorful kayak into this shot along with the pristine reflective lake water and surrounding peaks. I love the result.

Photographer patiently waiting on the Angels' Landing Trail at Zion N.P. Is she waiting for the Angels? Most likely. A view like this is definetley worth it!
Taken on top of the cliff face in Cotignac, looking south towards the Mediterranean about 1.5 hours drive away. The village on the right is Carcès, about 8 km away and is the nearest village to us. It was a beautiful morning where the mist was lingering in the valleys.
Misty Blue is one of my favourite songs from the 70s and always makes me think of the endless hot summer of 1976 when it was in the Top 10 of the UK charts. I've got the vinyl album on which this song is included.
