dictionary: "An architect is a person who plans, designs and oversees the construction of buildings"
That's like saying Picasso put paint on canvas...
Where once there was only sky we now have 'The Sky'. - Not just a building occupying space, but an entity becoming part of that space.
In the architect's imagination they envisioned the direct relationship between the physical sky and clouds to the reflected clouds. The soft sky to the Euclidean lines of their structure. - together through their relationship they each achieve presence.
photo: a matter of gradation. As a raging storm approached from behind I aimed toward the tranquil blue sky before me. Capturing the east and west, blues turned gray, the air cooled as the breeze angered to a wind.
In reality all credit for this photo goes to the architect. I just saw what they wanted me to see.

The Sanctuary of Santa Maria infra Saxa and the so-called Tempio di Valadier are two sanctuaries and chapel located at the entrance of the Frasassi Caves, a remarkable karst cave system in the municipality of Genga, in the province of Ancona, Marche, Italy.
So-called Tempio di Valadier
The sanctuary and chapel are located within a few dozen meters of each other, on a ledge entrance to the Frasassi cave system. The sanctuary is ancient; it is cited in documents from 1029. It is a simple stone structure built by Benedictine monks to house a burned image of the Madonna.
A Tempietto or small octagonal temple on the site was first proposed in 1817 by the future Pope Leo XII, who was originally from Genga. The white travertine structure, completed in 1827 after Leo had become pope, was long thought to have been designed by Giuseppe Valadier, and is still widely referred to as the "Tempio di Valadier". However, in 2016 a study of previously unexamined archives by Maria Cristina Cavola revealed that Valadier had absolutely nothing to do with the building: it was rather an accretive design to which a series of local architects and project managers made successive contributions. The chapel once housed a marble statue of the Madonna and child by the studio of Antonio Canova. The statue is now in the civic museum of Genga, and been substituted by a copy. When the Tempietto was built, a number of remains of skeletons were found in the opening of the cave.

Peace Bridge is a bridge that accommodates people walking and cycling across the Bow River in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The bridge, designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, opened for use on March 24, 2012.
The bridge was built by The City of Calgary. The design follows strict requirements with no piers in the water (in an effort to minimize the ecological footprint) and restricted height (due to the vicinity of the City/Bow River Heliport).

Despite all odds, this place has turned into a beautiful artwork - one that speaks of someone's cherished memories
The Torre Glòries a.k.a. Agbar is a high-rise building designed by French architect Jean Nouvel. It is located in the Poblenou neighbourhood of Barcelona. According to its architect, the tower is intended to recall the shape of a geyser rising into the air. It was inspired by Montserrat, a mountain near Barcelona. In an interview, Nouvel described the tower as having a phallic character. It measures 144 m.
(Dutch: Markthal) The building is a residential and office building with a market hall underneath. The ceiling is adorned with an 11.000 m2 artwork by Arno Coenen and Iris Roskam, named Hoorn des Overvloeds (Horn of Plenty). The artwork shows strongly enlarged fruits, vegetables, seeds, fish, flowers and insects.
The work was made using digital 3D-techniques. This enormous file needed special servers, which are also used for making animated movies. The digital 3D-animation was separated in 4000 pieces and then printed on perforated aluminum panels. The 4000 aluminum panels are now on the inside of the hall.
