Ghent is such a pretty city with great architecture. It was fun to visit during their 10-day festival, supposedly "the largest open air cultural and popular festival in Europe."
Meanwhile - as we slide from Window Wednesday into Monochrome Bokeh Thursday, before gently rolling into Fenced Friday - somewhere just outside of Ketchikan, Alaska....
Can't deny I enjoyed playing with the processing on this one :-)

Playing with the new Photoshop blur filters .... I think they work quite well, but still I prefer Alienskin Bokeh2! Looks just more natural to my eyes!
Whilst in northern Brittany, we tried to visit this 'scrap heap challenge' style art exhibition. Unfortunately, luck was against us as it was closed on both occasions we visited.
After seeing my contact Roevin's lovely tilt shift picture today www.flickr.com/photos/roevin/2914868804/ I was inspired to have a go at the technique too! I found an easy-to-follow tutorial on the internet.....and that is a rarity in itself!!
I haven't quite got it yet but it is only my first attempt!
Some lovely architecture in Boston, spanning the decades and centuries, it looks amazing from above so tried a tilt shift..
Children's Village, Rhyl. Coordinates 53.3191° N, 3.4916° W
This is a real village, situated on the west parade, Rhyl, North Wales. Its formal title is "The Children's Village." It is known locally as "The Marzipan village." Built around 1996.
Rhyl
Rhyl has long been a popular tourist destination. Once an elegant Victorian resort, there was an influx from Liverpool and Manchester after the Second World War that changed the face of the town. The area had declined dramatically by 1990, but has since been improved by a series of regeneration projects that have brought in major investment. Several millions of European funding, secured by the Welsh Government, has been spent on developing Rhyl's seafront.
There are plans to demolish the village to make way for a new development.
