Amsterdam - Marina.
The "Havengebouw" (harbour master’s office) is built above water and is an extension of the existing yard. A characteristic element is the structure comprising curved laminated wooden ribs, which creates a sheltered promenade. The promenade enables visitors to walk around the outside of the building. The marina has 350 berths for pleasure crafts, with additional moorings around the restaurant ‘Loetje’ where restaurant guests can moor their boats.
Realized in 2013, architects: SeARCH.
De ribes staat al weer in bloei.

……Nice to see a new bloom emerging almost every day at the moment. Stay in folks to stay virus free and to NOT be a vehicle to pass it on to others, Alan:-)

PENDING... Ribes
More from the garden, a beautiful deep rich colour... open inviting.
Ribes sanguineum (Ornamental Currant), when young in Spring, they have a strong resinous scent. The flowers are produced in early spring at the same time as the leaves emerge.
This member of the gooseberry family is a plant we know well in Great Britain and the Continent.
As it has escaped from gardens many years ago, and is now naturalised along many roadside hedgerows, where it is to be seen in flower in March, long before other woody species are in bloom.
Its leaves have a pungent smell and are very like those of the gooseberry, but it is without the gooseberry's sharp thorns. It usually grows up to about 2-3 m tall.
With love to you and thanx for your comments, M, (* _ *)

Photo of the Week and displayed on front page of "Wonderful Photos" group. Thank you so much!
Little towns and villages on the east coast of Canada often have preserved, and not so preserved, old wooden boats sitting on piers or on shore. Sometimes they are fixed up enough just to keep them from falling apart. The boat detail pictured here seems to be an example of the latter. The planking and ribs seem older than the riser (the wider board running lengthwise). The red gunwale board also looks less worn.
I found this example located at the tourist magnet, Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia.
I cooked Ribs today for Mother's Day.

Fraichement radiées, les RIB 627 et 663 sont transférées des Joncherolles à Trappes, sous la marche 816674, par la BB 22223 du Pact. Le convoi est aperçu à Vauboyen.
To celebrate getting my new R5 I smoked a couple of racks of St Louis cut spareribs. This is them just before pulling them off the smoker. They were delicious, and perfectly cooked. But I have to say the camera is going to have a steep learning curve.
St. Paul's Cathedral, Liège, Belgium.
Built and rebuilt from the 13th century onwards. And well worth a visit.
The stained glass windows were designed (2014) by Swiss artist Gottfried Honegger, and depict the creation of the world from chaos.

More from the garden, a beautiful deep rich colour... late starting to bloom on this bud.
Ribes sanguineum (Ornamental Currant), when young in Spring, they have a strong resinous scent.
The flowers are normally produced in early spring at the same time as the leaves emerge.
The ornamental types are mainly grown for their flowers, which form colourful hanging panicles, but some varieties also have attractive foliage.
