As part of the Tri-Association Conference which took place in Ocean City from August 27-30, the joint annual conference of The Chesapeake Section of the American Water Works Association (CSAWWA), Chesapeake Water Environment Association (CWEA) and the Water & Waste Operators Association of Maryland, Delaware & the District of Columbia (WWOA), the Maryland Environmental Service Water/Wastewater team known as “Motley Poo” finished in first place at the CWEA 2013 Operations Challenge!

 

The challenge consists of five timed events – collections, safety, maintenance, lab work and process control and this was the first year MES has sent a team to the challenge. Motley Poo – consisting of team members Justin Myers, Todd Boulden, Wayne Rumbaugh and Brad Yeakle – represented the agency extremely well, competing against teams with as many as five years of experience in these competitions, and not only took first place among all the CWEA regional teams but also finished in first place among all 12 teams competing at the challenge in the process control competition.

BASE Engineering designs industrial wireless transmitter for all hose reel Unwind and Rewind operations. Electronic interlock prevents accidental polarity reversal. Weatherproof, pre-wired solenoid relay enclosures are available for all BASE radio systems and electric voltages.
