„Das Baujahr lässt sich vor 1950 datieren. Zurückzuführen ist dies auf dem Aufdruck D.R.P. auf dem Dreschwagen, was für Deutsches Reichspatent steht, welches bis 1949 galt . Ab 1950 hieß es dann D.B.P. Deutsches Bundes Patent.
"Der 1872 geborene Josef Dechentreiter begann schon 1896 mit einer kleinen Reparaturwerkstatt für landwirtschaftliche Geräte auf dem elterlichen Betrieb. 1912 erfolgte die Gründung als mechanische Werktstatt in Bäumenheim, die bald durch einen Lohndruschbetrieb ergänzt wurde. Seine Faszination gehörte dem Dreschen, um 1900 eine der arbeitsintensivsten bäuerliche Tätigkeit überhaupt. Josef Dechentreiter leistete zum Durchbruch der Moderne durch die Motorisierung im Drusch einen wichtigen Beitrag. 1922 entwickelter er seine erste Dreschmaschine, die durch Strom angetrieben wurde. Die Nachfrage war groß, 6 Jahre später wurde bereits eine erste Werkshalle errichten und 1934 befanden sich schon 10 verschiedene Breitdrescher im Programm.1937 legte Dechentreiter mit dem Pressdrescher JD 150 einen weiteren Meilenstein. Das Unternehmen firmierte mittlerweile unter „Spezialfabrik für Motordreschmaschinen“ und zählte Ende der 30er Jahre zu den Großen der Branche. Der Zweite Weltkrieg war ein massiver Einschnitt, da die großen Hallen kriegswirtschaftlich umgenutzt werden mussten und ein Bombenangriff in den letzten Kriegstagen zahlreiche Arbeiterleben forderte.
Mit den Folgen des Krieges hadernd, verpasste Dechentreiter den rechtzeitigen Sprung zu den Mähdreschern und Getreidetrocknungsanlagen. 1958 kam zwar die Mähdrescher Goldhamster-Baureihe auf den Markt, doch selbst die zukunfts-weisende Innovation des hydraulisch zusammenklappbaren Schneidwerkes brachte keine Rettung. Der Niederländer Cornelis van der Lely erwarb 1963 schließlich das Unternehmen und aus Dechentreiter wurde Lely-Dechentreiter. Ladewagen, Wohnwagen und Pistenraupen ergänzten fortan das Programm.
1970 klagte Ernst Weichel auf Patentverletzung: statt Lizenzgebühr für den Ladewagen zu zahlen ließ van der Lely aber lieber das Bäumenheimer Unternehmen Konkurs gehen." Quelle: www.landtechnik-historisch.

Noch im selbigen Jahr übernahm die Firma Fendt das Werk und baute es stetig aus. Hier wurden dann auch die Fendt Traktoren Kabinen und Caravans gefertigt.
Fendt inzwischen durch die Firma AGCO übernommen fertigt seit 1970 dort Traktorenkabinen der Marken Fendt Massey Ferguson und Valtra die zum Konzern gehören
Auch produzierte Fendt in Asbach- Bäumenheim seit 1970 Wohnwagen. Die Wohnmobilsparte wurde 1998 an das Hobby-Wohnwagenwerk in Rendsburg verkauft.

A knackered Ferguson tractor in Whangamomona. The tyres look good enough to be revived with new tubes, and some TLC for the motor and running gear should produce a workable tractor, ideal for a small holding.
Not sure what the big bolt on the ground is for, but I can see why one might keep it handy - you just never know when it might be useful!
We had lunch with friends yesterday now that our state travel restrictions have been lifted and then stayed overnight with 2 of those friends. A prolific birders garden.
Over the years these have gone from occasional visitors to permanent residents. Always lovely to see.

I just could not resist capturing this venerable old Massey Ferguson tractor parked up in the pictuesque surroundings of Naves in the south of France.
A vintage grey 1951 Ferguson TE20 farm tractor sits neglected waiting for restoration on rural property in North Yorkshire, U.K. Although in rough shape, there have been far worse examples restored to former glory. Vintage and classic tractors are very popular restoration candidates, and most models are said to be generally easier to restore than most cars. I have spotted many old tractors like this Ferguson on my travels, in varying states of disrepair. Black sticker six-character registration; “JWF 661” refers to a circa 1950-’52 Yorkshire registration, so this tractor would likely have been in this region since new. Appears to have been re-registered for the road in 1983.
The Ferguson tractors were famous for the revolutionary “Ferguson System” safety innovation back in their day. I also know of a couple of examples very similar to this one still in everyday use.
At the top of this hill is a world away from the hubub of activity below. It is a place where one can go to escape the noise of the crowds. In his book "Pleasant Valley," Louis Bromfield said:
"On top of the Ferguson Place you have solitude in the midst of beauty and plenty. There on the hilltop you feel remote from cities and strife and mankind itself; yet close at hand down at the far end of the damp green tunnel you come out again into the world."

This old sign is now gone from what I understand. It was it stood at oates and ferguson. roads in Dallas according to Dallas County Apprasal district . The strip was built in 1962
