Compositionally Challenged Week 3
Abstract
Shot with a Liesegang "Patrinast 85 mm F 2.8" (projection) lens on a Canon EOS R5.
Spent a great weekend in Salzburg, Austria together with my family. Also visited my friend Kurt and we had great fun on Sunday morning! It was a real pleasure chasing the first sun of the day through beautiful Salzburg with him. We also took some pictures... :)
An Asian barred owlet (Glaucidium cuculoides) was framed resting on a Pine tree branch with a gorgeous looks on offer. Nature with a subject in full attention and a sweet backdrop bokeh - all made this a very very eye pleasing composition indeed. Love the lights and the texture of the tree bark with algae on it and the expression of the Owlet in this background! Pics was taken from Sattal Forest in Uttarakhand, India.

Extract from the context volumes, colors and shapes by subjectively creating a new self-sufficient harmony.
No matter how early or quiet you are on the meadow, cows will always come to see what's going on and engage in that funny staring contest you cannot hope to win :-)
For this shot these two ladies were most welcome, as they sort of framed the composition and helped to create a sense fo depth.

Quite simply I find woodland photography the most complicated compositionally… especially then I favour simplicity, order and balance in my landscapes! I spent ages getting this just about as balanced as I could!
I thought id add some green back onto my photostream as its not been about for a week or so!

"Almost Lover" pose by .:exposeur:.
Running into each other was the last thing I ever expected.
For years we had been friends, on and off lovers,
roommates with benefits until she left me for another.
Suddenly there she is again so much later, so alone and so inviting
and here am I so married to someone else.
Portrait: Movement - Most portraits are stationary, so this week explore adding some movement. Dancing, twirling, or even hair flips.

Story: leading Lines - Leading Lines are a very important compositional element that every photographer needs to master. Use leading lines to tell a story. No train tracks.
