This night photograph of Louis Vuitton (LV) Island Maison was taken from the Singapore Marina Bay Sands (MBS) boardwalk. Some of the high-rise buildings in the business district could be seen on the left of the photograph, with the railings serving as safety barrier along the promenade.

Sensational Saturday to you my friend.

Back to business. Returning sometimes feels like jumping on a moving train. New Orleans, btw, was awesome. I think Allison and I found our Vegas.

Terrific Tuesday to you.

I saw this property about 1/2 mile off the road. I pulled into an empty parking lot of a deserted meat processing business two stone roads away. It was a neat old building so I started taking photos of it. Of course, a truck pulls into the lot. Now remember, I am in the country on a two lane road with nobody around. Good Grief.

So I started to back the car out and this man comes over to the car, “Hey, Hey, stop! May I help you with something?” he said. I explained how I liked to take pictures of old barns and buildings.

Instead of telling me to get lost, he asked me if I would like to photograph that old house way back off that dirt road. He pointed to the house I had been eyeing. I said, “I sure would!” So I drove down a muddy road with bricks sticking up and fields on both sides and took some shots of this beauty. It is for sale, by the way.

Now that was the nicest owner I’ve met yet. At least, I hope he was the owner :-)

So I'm back from another mysterious disappearance! I guess I just can't stay away.

Monkey business

The title is just ofcourse for fun, humans are no monkey's , are they?

And here's the real story. If you want to see the work of Frans Lanting, the dutch master in nature and animal photography , in the Nederlands fotomuseum in Rotterdam , you'll really have to hurry. The exhibition ends at 18th september! For you're information, I've visited it 4 times, that's how impressed I am. All credits for this picture ofcourse, are for him, thanks for sharing Frans. ps; the Flickr location is wrong, it's not on the Noordereiland, here's the adress:

I don't know what it was, but I loved the fog covering the bridge. Nearly every time we were able to capture a glimpse of this historical gem it was covered with fog. I don't know, I suppose I just enjoyed the natural thickness of it all.

The fog added a bit of drama which is something I will happily tolerate in photography. The business of being busy, the business of doing what needs to be done. Everyone on this bridge was in the business of getting something done that day; whether it was work, play, touring, exercising, or otherwise; everyone had business to tend to. Bridge business.

I thought you didn't pay taxes, stanley.

I don't, and this is how.

Zac setting out for the day...

Kansas City Southern's Business train is southbound on the former KCS now CPKC's Pittsburg Subdivision passing through an S-Curve just south of Richards Missouri. The train running under CPKC Symbol D40B-13 and led by KCS 1, an EMD FP9, is heading back home to Shreveport Louisiana after spending the last few days in Kansas City Missouri doing corporate events in the area.

After finding this train in Cleveland Missouri right as the sun was raising above the horizon and shooting it for the first time just south of Amsterdam Missouri the real chase began. Trying to get ahead of this train on unfamiliar territory was quite the challenge, but nothing the Nomad couldn't handle. After getting ahead of the train somewhere around Hume MO we felt we had some time to do some quick drive by scouting of some potential shots, but all were still to shadowed this early in the morning. But as we rolled through just south of Richards MO we came across a nicely lit slight S-Curve and decided this would be the best shot for the time being, since we knew the train would be showing up momentarily. About 30 seconds after the vehicle was put in park this shot was taken, then the chase continued south for another 8 hours through Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
