The photo was taken from a paid hide. The bears have been fed, but live in the wild.

CBNS 1705, (GP9) leads the charge on westbound 305 leading a pair of SD40-2's past the West River Station sign and former siding on this chilly, fall morning. The first flurries of the year fell silently and ended quickly at Lansdowne, and thankfully that was the first and last of the white stuff that we encountered today. While the weather was cold and dismal, it was just good to get out with Geoff again as its been some time since we've gotten out together for a day of shooting.
Today, it seemed that everything went wrong, and in a way that defied explanation, so I'm posting a soothing fluffy sheep to make me feel better. :)
I have a feeling that in these days many people realize what is really important in their lives. Now make a resolve and follow it up!

Captured handheld with my 70-200mm lens and 2x Extender, the dramatic saturation of colour in this is not a result of editing. This is how it looked out of camera, aside from my usual editing regime, due to some wonderful back light and shading from the sun and clouds. Enjoy!
AKA Lingonberry, partridgeberry, mountain cranberry, cowberry, puolukka (fin).
Everywhere in the forest lingonberries are either flowering or growing new leaves.

A beautiful glass "box" that reflects light at all times during daylight hours. Black and White seems like a good choice here. The sky was so blue that day, it almost looks over-saturated in color.
Long Point on the northern end of McLean Bay north of Bicheno, Tasmania.
Also known as Seymour Point from the cluster of houses surrounding the original homestead of Seymour.
This is another archive pic - I decided to work this one in colour as the previous mono version was fabulously unsuccessful.
While it reminds me of a cheap, thrift store print in a lot of ways, it is much closer to the extraordinary light present on the day with heavy, smoke tinted cloud and virga from a pre-frontal trough passing out to sea and crepuscular rays lighting the mist above the breakers of Dennison Beach.
I think I would have no hesitation buying another copy of this old Contax N series gem - if ever a Z mount AF adapter was made! Superb contrast, almost aberration free and phenomenally sharp...

This is just what is needed in these difficult times, getting out and enjoying life which these two seem to be doing in their beautifully turned out car going to the stage to show it to the audience of Concours Of Elegance 2022 at Hampton Court Palace.
