HALEIWA, Hawaii – Sgt. 1st Class Elizabeth Steiger, a native of Grass Valley, Calif., the 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team surgeon cell non-commissioned officer in charge as well as the pregnancy and postpartum program manager, leads an off-site physical training expo March 10 at the Haleiwa Beach in Haleiwa. More than 70 Soldiers and family members took part in the event as they built esprit de corps within their unit.
“Just because a Soldier is pregnant or is recovering from birth; it doesn’t necessary mean that they have to miss out on fun activities and events,” she said. “By having them come out here to the beach it allowed them to branch out a little bit and let their hair down while building commodity within our unit.”

Leaders of the Thai and U.S. military forces watch a special performance by the Royal Thai Army 3rd Infantry Division drill and ceremony team as part of an opening ceremony for the Field Training Exercise (FTX) portion of Exercise Cobra Gold, February 12 at Camp Suratham Phithak, Korat. HALEIWA, Hawaii – Sgt. 1st Class Elizabeth Steiger, a native of Grass Valley, Calif., the 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team surgeon cell non-commissioned officer in charge as well as the pregnancy and postpartum program manager, leads an off-site physical training expo March 10 at the Haleiwa Beach in Haleiwa. More than 70 Soldiers and family members took part in the event as they built esprit de corps within their unit.
“Just because a Soldier is pregnant or is recovering from birth; it doesn’t necessary mean that they have to miss out on fun activities and events,” she said. “By having them come out here to the beach it allowed them to branch out a little bit and let their hair down while building commodity within our unit.”
