I was incredibly lucky to win this new GLORYAX set from Jeys in the fatpack, one of my favourite designers - I'm not even going to show you my folder, its legit embarrassing. It's just been released at Access and it's wonderful. You don't have to wear the helmet or the coat, you can wear the cybersuit on its own but I just gotta do all the things.

Yes it has a tail. Yes it has inbuilt high heels. Yes I know I'm 100% a cat person but here I have two Rezz Room cyber greyhounds by my side. Yes I know I'm packing some Winston Duke level thighs. Like I said, ALL THE THINGS.

Raw and unedited from SL.

14th March 2024. The little pool under Bryer Court used to be home to about a hundred Ghost Carp. Unfortunately, the water is so shallow, and the fish got so big, that their fins and backs were often out of the water and they got sunburn. They had to be moved into the big lake and then they were moved with all the other fish in 2004 when the main lake was ‘refurbished’.

The Bryer ‘pond’ used to be full of bulrushes. Moor hens and their young were able to nest there in complete safety because, although the water is only a few inches deep, the foxes couldn’t get at them – they won’t go into water.

The Bryer Court pond was emptied and resurfaced as part of the major repairs to the surface of Beech Gardens, but has since been restored, albeit with less attractive vegetation.

Since 2019, Bryer Court pond looks more like a municipal swimming pool than a lake because the bottom has become an unnatural shade of blue. This is caused by a vegetable dye which is being put in the water. The purpose is to get rid of ‘blanket weed’ which, if left unattacked, can take over the lake. It works by filtering the sunlight and this prevents the weed from photosynthesising which it needs in order to grow.

Scotney is a 14th-century moated castle in a valley with a 17th-century house attached. The new house was built on a hill between 1837 and 1844, the old house was largely demolished and the ruin became (intentionally) an integral part of the picturesque view from the hill.

Einer der bedeutendsten Breitenseer war der Dichter H. C. Artmann (1921–2000).

Hey - dropping a simple no edit fit pic, as I found 3 new-to-me stores that impressed me and I wanted to share. The 46 top is from a store named Fishing at 2am, and you'll find it on MP as "2am."

Glasses are sacredsquare. and this is the Prime pair. I'm going back for more, their clean design and many options in the hud made me happy.

DPNM pants are from Chaos. No, that's not a cross. No, they aren't blisters. No that's not an agonised grimace, that's disciplined model face.

No mercy for the mediocre - we suffer for style like real men.

A first taste of mountain biking on singletrack for the Mish.

Every year I try to get a photograph of the cherry blossom in Ulverston Parish Church graveyard. I have missed a couple, but decided to make an extra effort this year since we should be away before Spring comes around again.

This is today's shot straight into the sun!

Breaking the rules!

14th May 2020:

Rather windy and cold this morning which didn't encourage me to go out. So I took my backup photo of the bird seed on the garden table.

Although it wasn't quite so bad this afternoon, I really didn't feel like going out. So it's the bird seed for today.

Today is also : National Caesar Day - especially for my Canadian friends - nationaldaycalendar.com/national-caesar-day-thursday-befo...

As for the Silly News it's : National Buttermilk Biscuit Day - nationaldaycalendar.com/days-2/national-buttermilk-biscui...

Not sure how easy it is to get buttermilk here in France.

But it's also : National Dance Like a Chicken Day : nationaldaycalendar.com/days-2/national-dance-like-a-chic...

Which just sounds really daft!

Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites.

In the background is Strutt’s North Mill built in 1803 which replaced an earlier wooden framed mill built in 1786 that had been destroyed by fire. The building pioneered a number of innovative techniques including using a ‘fire-proof’ iron-frame, instead of timber. This became a blueprint for future cotton mill construction and in addition was a template for modern skyscraper engineering. It is now a Grade I listed building and forms a key element of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site.
