Iād love to learn from all of you and get tips on improving my bird photography!
I'm using a Sony Alpha 6700 with a Tamron 150-500 mm lens.
Excited to connect! āØ

I live in California and mostly use my Canon EOS R10. I don't have a very long lens but crows are my preferred bird to shoot pictures of, and they are pretty big and get pretty close. I also have chickens and they are usually willing to stay still enough to take portraits of.

Hi all, Iām Sarah. Most of my bird photos are taken in my Denver back garden, with a few from elsewhere. Growing up I found bird watching somewhat boring - it was a hobby for my parents - but Iāve come to appreciate birds and their behaviours more over time.
Hi everyone! I'm Mahesh. I'm excited to be here and reconnect with my passion for photography after a bit of a break. I'm an amateur photographer, recently getting back into the swing of things with a Nikon Z8, and it's been such a joy rediscovering the beauty of nature through the lens. I love capturing candid moments in the wildābirds in their natural behavior, peaceful landscapes, and little details that often go unnoticed. Traveling and exploring new places always brings fresh inspiration, and I'm looking forward to sharing some of those moments here and learning from this amazing community.

Took high school photography for two years and owned a camera for about half a year. Using equipment gifted to me, I mainly targeted birds in United States, New Jersey. While I do plan on buying better equipment in the future, I am proud of some of the photos I have taken so far using solely gifted equipment.
Hello, I live in Michigan in a city called Plymouth not far from Ann Arbor. We have many different birds that live here in the winter and in the spring and summer. Love getting up hearing the birds giving a MORNING HELLO!
Greetings. Great to be here. I'm a retired media photog and magazine editor, now mostly a bird shooter. I'm based out of Idaho Falls, just a stone's throw south of Yellowstone (more or less). Most of my quarry are perched in reserves and WMA's in eastern Idaho, including the Camas National Wildlife Refuge, Market Lake WMA and recreation areas around the upper Snake River.

Robert here. I've lived in the Ontario, Canada mixed deciduous forest for the last 30 years and the boreal for 30 before that. I only really got engaged with birds when I got my first superzoom camera, the Canon SX30 IS, in 2014. Since then I've graduated to the fantastic SX70, and now the Panasonic micro four thirds G9 with a Leica 100-400mm lens.
I tried my brother's full frame camera and I think the MFT is perfect for birds unless you spend a ton of money.
I've posted all my photos on iNaturalist for the last few years and it feels like I'm doing some extra good with my hobby by adding to the worlds bird observations databases.

Hello, I just got back into photography this year. I used to shoot a lot of landscape, but since moving to FL, I wanted to start shooting wildlife. Picked up a Nikon Z8 and 180-600mm.
Out in local park saw monarch butterfly and yellowjackets and bumble bee
My name is Andrew, and Iām so happy to be part of this group. Iām fairly new to using a professional-style camera (currently a Nikon Coolpix B500), but Iāve always loved observing natureāespecially birds.
Iāll actually be going on my very first official birdwatching hike on July 30, and Iām really excited to start learning more in the field. Most of my photos so far come from spontaneous moments on local trails, often with my rescue dog JJ tagging along.
Looking forward to connecting with others here, learning from your beautiful work, and sharing what I discover along the way. Thank you for the warm welcome!

Hello All, my name is Ian and I am an avid birder and amateur photographer from Ireland. I work for a conservation group in a native forest in the West of Ireland so I have great opportunities to see woodland and lakeshore birds all year. Where I live gives me access to large numbers of migratory birds in spring and autumn also. I also like to photograph plants, insects, mammals and landscapes I encounter. Mostly use a Canon EOS R10 with 100-400mm lense

Hi everyone, I'm James.
Generally into macro photography of Arthropods, but I do quite a bit of bird (and mammal!) photography as well.
My main aim is to assemble a decent dataset for biodiversity monitoring and to use iNaturalist to learn about the critters I find, but if I get shots I like then they also end up on Flickr :)
