First of all, I would like to thank each and everyone of you for joining me today, for some creating and hopefully fun.
Before I reveal the theme, I would like to tell you a wee story...
A couple of months ago, I went to a Welcome Home party for the son of a friend. Her son is just nineteen, in the US Infantry and had just returned from serving a year in Afghanistan. I met two ladies at that party, who had driven all the way from Peoria, Az, to Corpus Christi, TX, arrived just in time to attend the party and returned home to Arizona the following morning - early.

The above link will tell you a little bit more about the non-profit organization, one of the ladies - Julie, conceived. Julie had not one, not two, but three sons all serving active duty in the Middle East.
Your theme today is to make 'Thank you" or "Gratitude" cards for Julie to include in the packages her organization sends out to provide a little comfort to Soldiers/Vetrans. The cards will be to thank/express gratitude to the soldier or Veteran for serving their country.
Here are your guidelines:
1. Quick & Easy
2. Include a Hero Arts stamp
3. NO glitter/reflective elements ***
4. Use the tag "quickcard21", no spaces
5. Make as many as you can :o)
***The cards will generally be used for Veterans but just in case they do go abroad.
Here are two examples of what I made, I went with a vintage look and contemporary - very simple :o)
Prizes: (Two winners will be selected randomly after the Scramble)
1. Digital Kit - courtesy of Hero Arts
2. $25 gift certificate to an online craft shop of your choice
As I have written such a long post (which I hope makes sense), I will give you TEN extra minutes to get your cards uploaded.
One last thing...please could I trouble you to send the cards you make to me, so I can forward them to Julie at Operation Marshmallow.
Okay...off you go :o)
Drumroll please........
Winner of Digital Kit - Theresa - YAY!!! Well done, please flickrmail Tami :o)
Winner of $25 dollar gift certificate - Pia - Hooray!!! please flickrmail me with your choice of on line shop.
Thank you, once again everyone - I had a great time hosting :o)

THANK ALL OF YOU!! It is all of you that make these Scrambles a success. I second exactly what Donna said, just above :o)
I'll get my address out to you all soon - I was hoping there was a way to email everyone at once, but I can't figure it out - the Flickr help person didn't understand what I was asking either = their reply was how to email to one person not sending the same email to several members at the same time :o(
Does anyone know if this can be done?

Janet, my son and girlfriend just left, so I missed your challenge. I use to make cards for OWH. Then I was with a smaller group. I'd be happy to send a few your way! Thanks so much for doing this! Hugs!

Congratulations to the winners. It's always fun to participate in the scrambles. It's like stamping with friends... how is that, when you're not in the same room. But it's fun to oooh and ahhhhhh over everyone's efforts. Hugs and best wishes to you all.

Janet, are we to leave the insides blank or write a little note and sign it and tell our hometown?
Congrats, Theresa and Pia - loved your cards! Enjoy your prizes!! Thanks again, Janet, for a wonderful Scramble for a cause!
