Yorkshire Rider 6424, a Roe-bodied Leyland Atlantean, new to London Country (AN200) and more recently London Country Bus North East and then Sovereign Bus & Coach, had just been transferred from West Yorkshire, when photographed arriving at Leeds Central Bus Station in April 1990. The Rider Group had acquired several similar vehicles a few months earlier and this example would run for a further three and a bit years.

YORKSHIRE RIDER
At the end of 1989, twelve Roe bodied Leyland Atlantean AN68's arrived from Sovereign.
The oldest one, 6424 (XPG200T), an AN68A/1R, had been new to London Country Bus Service, as its AN200, in March, 1979.
It is in the West Yorkshire Road Car Company's bus station off Vicar Lane, working an ex WYRCC Leeds to Bradford, via Greengates, service.
This bus station, in the centre of Leeds, was not included in the sale of WYRCC to Yorkshire Rider.
Arriva London/The Shires (SW10, LK16 BXN, Garston/St Albans Road (GR)-based) at Harrow Bus Station, Harrow-on-the-Hill, London. Body no AN200, delivered new 30/06/2016. Apologies for the mark on the left hand side of the photo, caused by a clump of sensor dust that got into one of the filters in my camera lens.
AN200 at Warlingham Green with a wraparound advert for Surrey Homes. This must have been a good time for the housing market, given the number of builders and estate agents advertising on buses !
