Hello all,

I live part of the week (the working part) in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Weekends I live in an oceanfront house on Galiano Island, which is a paradise for birds and wildlife. I shoot whatever is around -- crows especially, because we have nests on our property; eagles and ravens, which invade the crows' turf several times a day. My old shots were taken on a Nikon D40; the more recent ones on a Nikon D3.

I use a Canon Powershot S1 IS or a Nikon D50.

All the pictures of birds in my sets have been taken by me or my partner on the above cameras.

I have a bit of a "thing" for Waders and Trogons (the Lapwing (Vanellus vanellus) is my favourite British bird).

Bee-eaters, Kingfishers and owls are some of my favourite subjects, but just about any bird, anywhere, will do. Here, www.oiseaux.net/photos/callie.de.wet/chrono.en.1.html, I have >270 bird species.

My name is Terry. I live in East Tennessee most of the time, in Southren Oregon part of the time visiting family, and travel the US when ever possible. With 7 kids between 8 and 15, we go camping a fair amount, and try to find fun & interesting things for the kids to see & do as often as possible. We all enjoy nature, and are learning how to take some good photos, and gaining experience with a variety of cameras (and sports) helps. Most of the boys, like me, love taking photos, but only 2 are pretty good at this point. The girls... well, they usually like modeling and pointing things out for us "guys" to take photos of. The girls usually enjoy putting together the photo albums, and organizing the photos, the boys just like taking them. Birds & wild life is something most of our family enjoys a bunch... and we have some pretty good photos once in a while. Please take a look, and let me know what you think. I'm trying to figure out if I should post our photos here (on Flickr), and which ones... and kinda how best to categorize them. We don't know the scientific names of any of the birds or other critters, so if you do - please feel free to add that to the comment area (especially if it's a photo you like). Comments and suggestions are welcome. 99.99% of the photos are taken freehand with one of about 15 digital cameras I have. If they were taken with the 30D or better, odds are I took them. If they were with the D30, the Rebel, the XT, one of the Fuji's, or Olympus' then there's a good chance one of the kids took the photos. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as we enjoyed taking them. If anyone is interested in any of our photos for commercial purposes, please email me. We aren't greedy, but 7 kids and travels across the US aren't free! Let me know which photo... for what purpose... and make an offer. Thanks for your time. Happy shooting!

I posted a couple of my hummingbird photos last night. I'm not a professional photographer by any means, as you can tell, but I love birds, especially hummingbirds, and butterflies and flowers and love taking photos of them.

I work as a paralegal and jewelry designer working in broken china jewelry. I'm from the Jersey Shore and this summer I'll take some photos of the sea birds we have here and if they come out OK, I'll post them.

I'm going to love looking at all these beautiful photos!
