Experimenting with combining HDR backgrounds and subjects shot separately in the studio. Lighting for the subject was two strip boxes on either side of the subject, and a small octabox just above the camera. Many thanks to Kim for modeling!

The Wings of Paradise Butterfly Conservatory in Cambridge, Ontario, provides an interesting location for a model shoot.

Lighting info: a bare 430EXII was used as fill light (set to -1) at camera left.

The old Massey Ferguson plant is located in Brantford, Ontario. It was closed in 1988. On May 14th the City of Brantford allowed photographers onto the property, more than 200 showed up! The weather forecast was calling for wind and rain so we were not permitted to enter the buildings, many of them are in very poor shape. It's a fascinating place to explore.
