Cloud description

Altocumulus is the main cloud type. Derived from the latin term 'alto-' (meaning high) and 'cumulo-' (meaning heap), altocumulus clouds can be best described as middle-altitude cumulus clouds generally found in arranged heaps or rolls.

The cloud species 'stratiformis' is translated from latin, meaning layer form, and can be described as a cloud with a horizontal, layerlike form.

The cloud variety 'perlucidus' is translated from latin, meaning pellucid, and can be described as a cloud that's transparent by small gaps
