The Summit, Medpace Way, Madisonville, Cincinnati, OH
Built in 1950 as the Nutone door chime and ventilation fan factory, this building was completely transformed in 2016-2019 into The Summit Hotel under the direction of Hirsch Bedner Associates, an architecture firm. The building features a podium with charcoal and gray-colored exterior cladding, punched window openings, and red accents between the second and third floor windows, a penthouse on the low southern and eastern section of the podium, and a tower on the western side of the building that stands nine stories tall, which is clad in a glass and metal curtain wall above the third floor. The hotel serves as a compliment to the adjacent Medpace corporate campus, and features an industrial, yet contemporary design on the interior.
