First day I got my D700 back. I had sent my previous D700 back due to welded dust spots on the sensor. It was a long wait! From the time the purchase was charged, 9/15, I had the D700 in my hands for 6 days, until today when I finally got a replacement. That's 6 days out of 30 days!
Thought it would be fun to start a 365 with the D700. I'm hoping this D700 will be problem free this time.
The FIRST shot from the D700. I can see three dust spots, but shooting against the wall with a flash is not the best test...it's dark outside by the time the batt. got fully charged.
The dust spots do not look like welded dust, so fingers crossed with the sensor cleaner set to clean on power on and off for the next day or two. Will shoot the blue sky with my 50mm at f/22 tomorrow and see.
