Kampung House.
Hi everyone! This is my latest LEGO creation - Kampung House.
I have been thinking of building this typical Malay village house for many years and Was halted by limitation of the bricks’ colours that reveal the Beauty of wooden house. This year, after many years of without building standard LEGO minifig scale architecture, this kampung house project came to my mind again. I used dark brown and reddish brown colour bricks to reflect the contrast of the wood. Finally I manage to build it in the way I want it to be. There are many types of stilt house around the world. My creation is based on Village house in Penang island.
I had never stayed in kampung house but my wife had. My wife stayed in Kulim Kedah when she was around 7 years old. She shared many interesting childhood stories to me when I started making this project. I grew up in Kuala Lumpur city; Relaxed and romantic village life is something that I love to experience in future. I wish this creation reminds everyone how wonderful our childhood is. Childhood makes us who we are, who to love and how to love. Does this creation remind you of your sweet childhood too? (^_^)v
